So, we are back after a wonderful stay in DLP.
To start with highs
Weather - sunny, warm, no rain. Chilly mornings and evenings, one chilly day, but all so great.
Crowds during the week - rides no more than 15 mins wait, mostly 5 mins. EMH - everything walk on.
Characters - met lots lots lots. Wonderful. Great interaction.
DLH stairs dance or kid's animation (that's how they present it) - very very good. Great chance for some character photos and autographs.
Meals - had good and tasty meals during all week. Not too crowded. Thumbs up for Hakuna matata
I met Snow white in Princess pavilion.
Pixie dust in SF. Got candies, chocolate coins, mineral water, tea set and a big McQueen cup full of candies and chocolate coins. And VIP breakfast. It was fun to be guided to the breakfast every morning
SF - the room was good, nice, clean and had comfy pillows (and that's very important to me). Our building was close to main building, so not much walking.
Swing into spring - wow. Loved it. Great shows, catching music. Happy we got to see it.
Doing BTM. DS1 never did it after he got scared on our 1st trip. This time we tried again and had DS2 with us. Both of my boys loved the ride and we did it one a day. DS2 was so excited.
Lows
Changed theme in Sunday brunch. Got Marry Poppins instead of oriental. Would never book this theme again, nothing interesting. Basic characters plus Marry Poppins and Bert.
Crowd levels on weekend. Considering not to stay during the weekend again.
Toad hall closed.
Some people thinking their children are better and should be pushed in front of yours. Had a few arguments in DLH. A woman pushed her children in front and I told her that everybody here wants to meet the character and is waiting. She replied that she only wants the character to see her children and she is not jumping the queue. But she kept pushing her kids to front getting other kids out of the way. Had some queue jumpers on rides. Some parents let their children run and push through and then they run after them. A few times I just wanted to knock them out.
And kids found it to be a low - we got soap and shower gel only on our arrival day.
Not doing Phantom manor as DS1 got scared again and we used chicken exit.
Not find Olaf to buy....
Some thoughts...
I did like SF, but found it more comfortable staying in a hotel closer to parks. So after this stay I'd rather consider shorter stay - only week days - and a better hotel. We didn't do much on weekend compared to previous day and all because of crowd levels.
I'd check Sunday brunch theme before going and not go if it's nothing interesting or fun. Food is great but this time characters not all so great.
The finish
We had a wonderful stay. There not so many things I can complain on and my lows are minor.
We'll be going back. But probably not next year as I want new things to be happening. I got the feeling DLP needs to refresh and update. Or maybe we need to wait and take our time.
The TR
I have no idea when it's going to happen. We're doing huge house renovation in style of extreme maker overs
so I'm not being able to upload and sort my photos. And doing this at work...
