I did a thread like this last year and it was lovely to read everybodys highlights of the year, whilst I realise its another week or so to 2011, I thought it would be nice to recall our highlights of the past year, mine has been:

Having my new car, Vicki getting excellent results in her first year at Uni,moving into my lovely new offices, Spike NOT getting lost:lmao:, and seeing Peter Kay live.

So who is next and what were your highlights:goodvibes:goodvibes

* Not having an issue or operation on my foot..After about 4 years of tests/ scans and ops it was a relief. (Althought did end up breaking my nose and having an op on that).
* Going on holiday to Kos
* Going crabbing in Weymouth- may sound a small thing but i loved it!
* Getting into Worcester uni for my final year (starting 2011)
* Generally feeling more independent after 18 months of moving out of home.

Highlights:

Finally getting help about my low self esteem and getting my confidence back :goodvibes
Going on my first holiday with DBF without my mum and dad to Florida
Doing well in my 1st year of uni
Seeing Peter Kay
Finally coming back to the Disboards after a while away. I love the community feel of the boards, thankyou everyone

Biggest highlight would have to be our wonderful trip back to WDW, everything about it was just perfect, and after DH lost his job 2 years ago we wondered if we would ever get back.

DD getting top prize at her end of year school presentation, her 1st year in school and its a prize thats up for grabs by all kids in P1-3 so a BIG achievement.

Doing voluntary work at my local school, work there 3 mornings a week and love every minute of it.

And my DH's biggest highlight is being at Wembley and watching Blackpool win promotion to the premier league ( I was there too but it ranks lower down in my highlights :rotfl2:)

Highlights of 2010 include:

DS(5) starting kindergarten-- and loving it!!
DS(3) is continuing to overcome his slow start and is catching up!
DW and I kept our jobs in a scary job market.
Spring Break trip to the world was awesome.
My Mom getting into the Christmas spirit for the first time in a couple of years(my Dad passed in '08:sad1:)
Booking a trip to the World for next March.

I have had a fab 2010, and I was lucky to have two wonderful holiday with my hubby. In June we did a 5 night Disney Cruise and had our first stay at Portofino Bay. In October I had my first Cruise on the Disney Magic and we loved the Western Caribbean destinations

Other highlights include a cracking weekend in Southampton with the DIS Girlies, and the best concert I have ever been to was the Black Eyed Peas in May

As for family life, my girls have had a good year at college and have both got part time jobs at Asda and they're both happy in their lives too :)

Here's to a fabulous 2011 to us all

To be honest, 2010 has been a tough year. I'm quite looking forward to leaving it behind, despite having a trip to Florida in there.

But, we do have a couple of highlights :) The very obvious one is getting engaged to DF in Epcot, was an amazing feeling :lovestruc Others are actually taking my parents and brother back to Florida after a very long 12 year break! Oh, and finally meeting my favourite, Stitch, whilst there :goodvibes

Others include our Niece being born healthy and my friend having her little girl who's just adorable. My Godson also started 'big school' (he's 4! ;)) and he's doing really well also.

hi can i start with a low. loosing tramp after 16 years. R.I.P,
getting married to my wonderful wife Beverley.

and looking forward to 2011, getting a new job and honeymoon to the WDW in Septemer

2010 hasn't been the best of years for me, having spent nearly 6 months of it unemployed. But out of that came leaving the retail job I absolutely loathed and have now found a job that I'm quite enjoying :thumbsup2

Also our 2 weeks to Florida in May which was boyfriend's 1st trip and my 2nd  Still talking about it all the time and I'm missing it so much at the moment!

I think that's about it for me, god I lead a pretty boring life!

The obvious highlight for me was the birth of my beautiful daughter Megan - who now at nearly 8 months is growing up so so quickly. And after me singing "all i want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth" to Megan constantly since the beginning of December - she actually listened to me and the 2nd tooth cut through this morning :)

We have had a rollercoaster of a year with incredible highs and lows, the highs would have to be:
* The birth of our 2nd baby - Sam.
* Evie starting and loving full time school.
* Sam's first trip to DLP.
* My brother getting married.

I would like to wish all my DIS friends a happy and healthy 2011. x

Well weve had a rollercoaster of a year but the highlights have definatly excelled themselves this year !!

The biggest highlight was most definatly Cameron meeting Jeff Hardy - A life changing moment for everyone !!

Also the holiday to Florida in general just making it onto the plane was a highlight of the year.

Another highlight was early in the year when we were told that Cam was out of thetre and had survived his massive 5 hour operation. Walking to recovery to give him a hug was just the best feeling ever !!

Id like to thank everyone here who has supported us this year it is so much appreciated x x x

have a great 2011 guys x x

We've had a lovely year.

Ians 40th weekend in Tenby with our bestest buddies. Glastonbury was amazing this year with the wonderful weather. We had a fabulous weekend in Solihull, what a laugh that was. One of the best days out I have had in a long time one Sunday in Cardiff. Then our wonderful holiday in October. Its been a good one, the year of Ians 40 40th celebrations!!

I hope that 2011 will be just as good, have a lovely one everybody xxx

another high would be dh being employed full time rather than doing supply..

BUT...my family is (mainly) healthy and i have made some excellent friends here on the dis, especially my fb friends who make me laugh and cry on a daily basis (esp Louise who is sooo funny )
i wish everyone a healthy happy 2012

My highlights of 2010 include:

A fabulous holiday in WDW with Karen (CustardTart), we had the most amazing time. :cloud9:

Seeing Peter Kay in Manchester in May, so funny! Also my hubby's face yesterday when I surprised him with 2x tickets to see him again in April at the O2!

The day we were given the all clear from the vet that my doggie's cancerous tumor had been succesfully removed!

A fabulous day out a few weeks ago with my sister & brother in law, we had a chauffeur driven car take us (& bring us home) to a Michelin star restaurant in Mayfair, overlooking Hyde Park, where we had THE most amazing meal. Then we walked around Winter Wonderland where my DH & BIL made me & my sister (we were both very drunk) go through a fun house with mirrors & wonky moving floors etc.....we laughed so much our stomachs ached for days after. Then we finished the day off seeing John Bishop at Wembley. :goodvibes

I hope 2011 will bring everyone lots of happy memories. :wizard:

After dreading a move to another country in March due to Dh's work, everything is working out great and have met a great new bunch of friends. A new country always means a new car too so that's always fun as I am such a petrolhead ;)

Wishing you all a very happy and healthy 2011 and looking forward to alot more laughs on here too as whenever I log in something that someone says always makes me smile :goodvibes
