Love a good news thread!

Mine has to meeting my birth family for the first time in Bermuda and then going to my brother's wedding out there. Absolytely amazing that my parents got back together and got married a few years after they gave me up and that my new/old family is so lovely.

This is a lovely thread.


My highlights are:

Our first cruise! We already have two more booked so I think DCL is a new obsession.

Suprising my dh with a Wishes Firework cruise, it was a magical experience and one that we will never forget.

Making a lovely new friend Karen (aka CustardTart), I can not wait to go to WDW with her in June.

Just read through the whole of this thread and its lovely to read suich lovely things that have happened in 2009, here's looking forward to a great 2010 for us all.

Lovely thread idea! My highlights include:

1. Finding out I was pregnant and the pregnancy in general, ultrasounds etc
2. The birth of my 1st child Finlay in Sept
3. Our first wedding anniversary (the day before I gave birth!)
4. The birth of my newest neice Phoebe in May
5. Being awarded the Certificate in Contemporary Science from the Open Uni in Jan
6. Moving house so DH no longer had to commute 3hrs
7. Helping my mum and sister plan a surprise trip to WDW for my eldest neice and seeing the video where she found out she was going at Manc airport
8. Recovering from surgery to have my gallbladder removed in Nov and being lucky enough to get the operation so quickly (8 weeks after initially finding out I needed it.)

Although right now my happiest memory is from Monday night! Mum had been babysitting our son for a few hours so we could go to the sales. We got back to her house and when he saw me walk in he gave me the most enormous smile I've ever seen, made me cry that he was so happy to see me.

-This year's holiday: Visiting New York and Boston for the first time and driving a Mustang: WOW! Also experiencing WDW at a more relaxed pace
-Getting more hamsters (bought our first one at the end of 2008) Planning to get a pair of guinea pigs soon too, just waiting to hear from the breeder when they're born

Haven't got many highlights for 2009, although I started a new job I don't like it

I think my main one would be my 4 day trip to DLRP, much needed after all my training for my job.

I think one of my highlights for 2010 is going to NY in Feb with one of my friends

my highlights for 2009 were
-welcoming our second son Lucas into the world on Halloween (the day after his brother 1st birthday)
-Morgans first birthday
- watching my morgan learn so much, like walking
-hearing mummum for the first time

-dh starting a job he loves, and which gives us the income for me to finally be able to just be a stay at home mum and watch my boys grow up

- Jack proposing at the castle while we were the only guests in DLRP.

- Staying at the Disneyland Hotel

- Staying at AKL

- Meeting our wedding photographers and having amazing practice photos taken around the Poly and GF.

- Getting our new kitten Boo, and seeing him grow into a big strong boy, as he had one of the worst starts in life a kitten could.
