Day 12 Monday 10th July weather low 90's and Sunny
Up at 7:30am and have a pot of coffee, and have to say very uncomfortable night, beds really are very hard, about 8am the tribe start stirring, even DW agrees that the bed was very uncomfortable as well, we all get dressed and head to the lounge and have to say pretty impressed by selection, bagels, cereals, toast, pastries, doughnuts plus fresh juice, coffee, tea etc, we fill up here for the day, the chairs in the lounge are pretty comfortable, get chatting to a guy from NY here on business, he was surprised at the amount of Brits he had encountered on his travels that week, after breakfast I give the kids a choice of staying at HRH and playing in pool or upgrading their power passes to preferred passes as today's a blackout day for power passes, now here's a shocker they pick to spend day at pool but at QII,both me and DW are shocked at their choice but reckon its more to do with a boy at QII DD says is only a friend
so by 9am we are checking out, with our cool bag a little weighted with the free water and juice, also on another point I think quite a few guests crash the lounge from other floors as there where a few waiting for you to use your key card to get to the 7th floor, don't think I'd have the nerve though.
We get a taxi to QII a litle after 9:30am, DW and kids head to pool after we dump our stuff in room, I head off to Premium Outlets as I still need to get DW an anniversary gift for tomorrow, I get the Lynx bus to the outlets as it comes first before the trolley, I head straight to jewellers Ultra diamonds but don't see anything that catches, so I head to Zale's and after about 20 mins chose a pearl bracelet and pearl earrings, I also remember DS still wants a new Nike backpack for school and DW was complaining she should have got new trainers but never had so I manage to get her a nice pair in the Nike store and DS a new backpack, I also pop on Disney outlet and get a Stitch NFL top for $20 for myself also see these infamous Croc's people are talking about photo attached,
luckily I get a trolley straight away and head back to hotel, but then I remember that I had promised someone in work to get their son a T-shirt one of these skull etc shirts, so I hop off the trolley at Pointe Orlando and get a top I think he'll like from Spenser's, then I get a bus back to hotel, I'm back at hotel by 1pm, DW had thought I was only going to shops near here and hadn't realised I was off at the malls, but she was happy with her trainers. The plan this afternoon was SW but the kids where playing with friends in pool, so its book time for me and DW, I call and cancel our ADR at Shark's, the kids play in pool till after 5pm and only come out as their skin is going wrinkly, shower's all round then we head to Chili's, we get a table right away the restaurant is reasonably busy, but service is prompt, DD has 8oz sirloin, fries & corn, DS has honey basted 8oz sirloin, fries & broccoli, DW has 12oz NY strip, fries & corn, I have the Caribbean trio platter, this is a new menu item they are trialling I had a shrimp skewer, ribs, chicken breast all Caribbean style plus fries & corn, also I'm asked to fill out a questionnaire at end of meal as its a trial, we also have 4 soft drinks, during the meal there's a girl going round making balloon animals etc, so DD has a sea horse and DS gets a sword, the meal comes to $67 with out tip.
After dinner we cross over to the Tiki Island golf we pay $50 to play both course's, this is a pretty good course and has paddle boats as well for people to hire as well for use in their river,
the Volcano regularly goes off as well, and the heat from it is pretty intense, we soon regret doing both courses as one would have been enough, at the end of each course you are given the chance to get a hole in one and set the Volcano off plus you win a free game, sadly none of us manage this, although I can boast I did get a hole in one during game and I won overall, we played the golf a litle over 2 hours, then we returned to our room DS wanted to watch the wrestling on TV, DD disappeared to lounge both myself and DW pack some more things away, then DW goes to make sure DD is ok, after a night cap we are all asleep by midnight.
