I'm not sure where to post this so i'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction...

We have decided instead of taking a double stroller for DD7 and DS1 we are just going to take a single and then we can let DD rest in it from time to time and DS will be the one using it primarily...Does anyone have any recommendations for a higher weight limit stroller? We don't want to have it wreck on us while we are down there so we need something sturdy enough..we also can not afford to spend too much, hoping we can find something on CL since we only need it for this trip..I've even thought of asking to borrow one but the swaps all seem full..TIA

Maclarens hold up to 55 lbs, check your local craigslist thats where I got my strollers from, I figured even if it falls apart at least I only spent a few $ vs a few hundred $ plus you get to see the stroller before you buy it unlike on ebay you never know the true condition until it arrives.

We have the MacClaren Volo - it holds up to 55 lbs and the stroller only weighs like 5 lbs. It comes with a shoulder strap too which makes it easy to carry onto the bus. We bought it for our disney trip in 2006 and love it. It was $100 new but I have seen them on Craigslist or even resale shops for less. The only negative is the Volo doesn't recline but that didn't matter to us.

Depending on the weight of your child, for up to 55lbs you can get a Maclaren Volo or a City Mini by Baby Jogger. If your child is over 55 lbs, the City Classic by Baby Jogger goes up to 75lbs. You can rent the City Classic and City Mini from Orlando Stroller Rentals here http://www.orlandostrollerrentals.com/ Here is info on the Volo http://www.maclarenbaby.com/us/content/view/99/491/lang,en/
I actually just bought a Volo for our upcoming trip on Ebay for $55. I actually have someone lined up to buy it from me on the day I am leaving. I arranged the sale on Craigs List. I am selling it for $50, so it's like I am paying $5 to have a stroller for the 6 day trip.
Good luck! :wizard:

My DD4 was well within the weighlimit of our stroller, however, she is 44 inches tall. Our current stroller sucks her feet under where she is so long. I bought a Maclaren Volo on eBay for $55, and it is a perfect fit. I love it!!!

with the one year old, though the volo might not be the best choice because there is no recline. Many jogging strollers also go up to 75 lbs, but are definitely bulkier.

I´ll be in WDW October 4- October 24.

NOT LIVING IN USA - NEED HELP

Need to buy a stroller that can be used for my both daughters (5y.old-24kg/53lbs and 3y.old 13 kg/27lbs.

Sit Stand or Single stroller are fine, as I think most of time it will be empty.

Can anyone help me with models?

Must fold easy and be compact and lightweight when folded as I´ll bring with me back home and don´t want pay overweight fee at airline co.

Simone.

The MacLaren Techno XLR also holds up to 70lbs and is less bulky than the joggers.

We rented the City Classic that goes up to 75lb from Orlando Stroller rental in April. It was a great stroller with a huge sun shade. It pushed like a dream and was very easy to fold.

thanks everyone but we were able to get into a sit and stand stroller swap so i guess we don't need to buy one..but thanks for all the great info

Hi
I have a question about orlando stroller rental. I have a double reserved for our upcoming trip and does the stroller come with a raincover or any accessories? Just wondering? thanks for any info.

Another vote for the MacLaren XLR - it reclines (both a little bit and fully flat), has sun cover (and a large raincover), offers fairly good storage both under the seat and in a back pocket, has two separate handles to loop bags and other items over, is fairly compact (way smaller than a Graco or jogging stroller and folds like an umbrella stroller), and its easy to maneuver. Also, ours has two options for seat covering (a soft velour side and a sturdier water resistant side) and came with a removable soft head piece for a newborn. We think this is the best stroller we have found for travel (and we have had almost every kind imaginable) and it can be used by older children if needed.

BOB strollers are expensive, but they carry a lot of weight. When I sold my single BOB, I put it on Craigslist and got about 60% of my investment back--it was 3 years old. They really hold up.
