Higher than average snark factor on John and Kate threads. Why?

Because Jon & Kate are both attention *****s who have put the well-being of their children second to their need for attention.

Instead of raising their family and working out their issues, she's running all over the country promoting her book, he's running around trying to pretend he's single, she's a nasty sarcastic withc, he's a passive aggressive *******, and they have these 8 beautiful children who are in the middle of this mess through no fault of their own and now they are going to pay the price for their parents' (and I use the term loosely) stupidity.

And that business about needing to be on TV to be able to afford to raise 8 kids...newsflash, when I was a kid we had a lot of families in our school who had 7, 8, 9 even 10 kids. Often, the 10 kids ranged in age over 10 years, so the family was having one kid a year. And they managed...without the million $$ house, the wacky haircut, the tummy tuck, the drunken nights in the bar and all the other ridiculousness that surrounds this train wreck.

When I see situations like this, all I can think is "And I couldn't have kids but these people could"... and all I can do is :sad2:.

I think you summed it up pretty well.

Although I will say that having multiple kids the same age does make it a little different than families who had multiple kids of different ages simply because when they're the same age, you need more of the same thing as opposed to re-using things. Six cribs, six high chairs, six car seats, six sets of boots, six of everything, all the time. We found this a challenge just with having twins and needing two of everything, and then being done with them. (But that's not to say that the million dollar house and all the other excesses and wackiness was necessary. ;) )

But really good summary. :thumbsup2

Agreed to a certain extent, but if you have a newborn, anad a 1, 2 and 3 year old, you need 4 cribs, probably at the same time.

Because Kate is evil, yet some people don't realize it.

Wow, now the evil card is being thrown around? I do believe that the DISers act like complete children when it comes to this family. Instead of wishing that they could get their lives together, you all help spread the negative attitude that it poisoning them. You don't care about those children, you just want something to gripe about.

And, as I mentioned in my prior post, Kate has yet again given an exclusive interview to People magazine, since announcing their divorce. The reporter was on a morning show today, so that means Kate met with her sometime between Monday night and last night. Wow, way to deal with this privately! She also is quoted as saying that her kids were not too upset with learning the news, yet she refused to remove her wedding ring because she feels like that will show the kids how permanent this decision is (duh!) and will send them over the edge. Is she freaking kidding? Seriously? You tell your kids you're getting a divorce, but as long as you leave your ring on, they might hold out hope that this isn't permanent? WTH? She is also quoted as saying that her kids love her because she does for them, and feeds them and provides for them, and they love Jon because he's their father. TLC has even pulled the plug on this show for a hiatus, yet she MUST remain in the spotlight, so she runs to People. :rolleyes1

This show/family does not bring out the snarky in me, it brings out the anger in me. :headache:

Victim mode..

I don't know if a judge would do this, because it might, effectively, put them on the unemployment line

Now THAT would be a REALITY show.

Not only would that be reality, it would be a tragedy. If those kids hadn't grown accustomed to the life they have, they wouldn't know they were missing out on anything. However, now that they've had a taste of the good life (vacations, crooked houses, clothing, etc.) they would be devastated to have to learn to live like the rest of us. Could you imagine those kids having to live in a 3 or 4 bedroom apartment? Could you imagine those kids having to go to a daycare or aftercare program at school until mom gets home from work at 6 p.m. or so? Could you imagine not being able to buy organic because you can't afford it? Could you imagine that at 8 and 5 the best years of your childhood are behind you? I don't know J&K's finances, but I'm betting they've been too busy living the high life to have saved enough money that they could take a few years off and not have to work. And the scariest concept of all -- could you imagine Kate being your nurse? :scared1:

Well if nothing else, her need for "perfection" might work out well if she were starting an IV on you or something..;)

You're right, but her bedside manner probably leaves something to be desired. :rotfl: Could you see being afraid of a needle and she smacks you? :lmao:
