Does the Fantasy (it will be an 11-nighter) have a high tea for adults?

What is this? Is it new? We will be on this cruise so
this sounds interesting.

The ships use to have an adult tea in Palo but it ended in 2012. I have not heard of them bringing it back.

I thought they got rid of the Palo tea. And boy what a mistake -- I used to love that!

I'm curious to know precisely how 'high tea' is being referred to in your question? The reason I ask is because I've never gotten a straight answer on this but have heard high tea refers to traditional tea with alcohol drinks added. Someone once told me it's basically a hoity toity happy hour.

I can only answer for what the ships used to have. It was no where near hoity toity. It was tea service in Palo with a large selection of teas, pastries, finger sandwiches. There may have been alcohol on the menu but I really do not remember. I was there for the tea and goodies.

All the high teas we have done, including one in London, didn't include anything about alcohol :confused3

No alcohol is involved.

Here is the description of the tea on Princess (and Holland America has the same thing). Both are free.

"Afternoon tea is a treasured tradition whether it’s a special occasion, an intimate moment for two, a mother-daughter tea party or just quiet time for reflection. Enjoy a wide selection of teas, or coffee if you prefer, served by white-gloved waiters in formal attire. The setting is an elegant dining room, with tables crowned with sparkling samovars and a delicious array of tasty treats: freshly prepared finger sandwiches, cookies and cakes."

High tea does not have to include alcohol, but sometimes it available. But is really isn't with "alcohol drinks added." If alcohol is served it is general a bubbly white wine like a champagne or Prosecco, not an wide variety of drinks.

I loved the high tea at palo. It was on sea days at 3 o'clock if I remember correctly. Only 5 dollars. Wish they will bring it back and up the price if they have to. I'm sure if they bring it back it will be around 15 dollars now. But I would book it.

Maybe they will reinstate it on the new ships !?! (one can only hope and wish)
