High speed internet access

I know it's unlikely, but by any chance is there high-speed internet access available at ASMo? Even something like a wireless access point in the main building? If so, what is the cost?

Barring that, does anyone have a suggestion for checking email while staying at ASMo? Are there any internet kiosks around that will let you run an SSH client?

No high speed, no wireless point. They are working on installing high speed across WDW but it may be awhile for the value resorts.

They are supposed to have it in all the resorts by next spring. There doesn't appear to be any pattern as to which resorts are getting it right now.

If you've got a laptop, several of the deluxe resorts have Wi-Fi access in their public areas. The cost is approximately $10 for 24-hours. For example, during my Grand Floridian stay, my son & I used Wi-Fi in the lobby of the resort and also in the concierge lounge: click here.

Somewhere on the Dis website is a list of what resorts have high-speed Internet and Wi-Fi access. Do a search and I'm sure you'll find the info.

Glimsher, welcome to the Dis. According to the listing here on the Dis, there is Wi-Fi at the Coronado Springs Resort.

Don't forget that you can always bring a wireless router with you on vacation and create your own little wireless network in your room (that is what my son & I did on our vacation).

You're welcome. I just spent four weeks in Walt Disney World. It was my first WDW vacation with a laptop (I had resisted bringing one on my prior vacations).

Since I was vacationing there for such an extended period of time, and since my husband had to stay back home on the West Coast, the laptop was a necessity. I promised my husband that I would send photos & videos of our two kids so that he wouldn't miss us so much. It was the next best thing to being there.
