That's whats weird around here...when I lived in Michigan and Illinois everyone had graduation parties. Here in NC, NOONE has them or parties. That's not gonna stop me though

That's because all the kids are heading to the beach after graduation! I wanted to have DS a party on graduation day but they said no way, we're outta here! So we had a couple of different parties the weekend before. We had DS a party before he went to college.

Graduation Open Houses are very popular in my area of Indiana too. They are also spread out for several weeks after graduation so everyone's is not at the same time. The guests list would include family, friends, neighbors, and graduate's friends so there are usually a lot of people coming and going.

I used lots of Costco stuff for both DD's grad parties. Reasonable prices and easy. We joked that we used "catering" by Costco.
