High School Graduation Anouncements?

When should we send out high school graduation anouncements? Graduation is June 11th.

I'd probably send them out early to mid May depending on how far they had to go. Many of my family mailing go out of state so they can take up to a week depending on the mail. If they were mostly in-state or local I'd wait even til the back end of mid-May.

I always send out invitations for anything about a month beforehand.

I would wait and send out "announcements" so they'll arrive on or after graduation. "Announcements" are not the same as "invitations."

I volunteer at graduation and every year we have people show up with announcements in hand trying to get in. Currently, students get 10 tickets each at our school. If you don't have a ticket, you don't get in. (This seems like a huge amount to me - when I was in high school, you only got FOUR tickets!)

well for my school graduation announcements are basically the same as invitations. We don't do the ticket system. My mother is having me mail mine out in May.
