Does anyone know where I might find nice, fancy, high heeled boots that will fit over my too big calfs?
I love wearing boots and have a few I wear under jeans/pants even though I can´t zip them all the way up. :guilty:
However, I´d love to have a pair I could use with my shorter skirts/dresses as well?
Any advice???

I have some from Payless that are very "roomy" in the calf area. Of course they probably aren't going to last as long as a more expensive pair.

My friend got hers from silhouettes- it's an online seller that specializes in plus size clothes. I believe she said that they have extended calf widths up to 18-20 inches.

Also J Crew and Anne Taylor offer extended width boots on their websites.

Hope this helps.

I don't like the sound of plus size calves....I have always had larger calves due to being very active as a child~swimming, tennis, etc.. I used to wear a size 2 and still had problems finding boots that fit my calves. I get sick of the FAT CALVES comment whenever I go boot shopping. My calves are all muscle and very well defined. Just an irritation of mine.

tinkerrn, I feel the same way! My calfs are very muscular and I can never find boots. Not even the ones that go a little up the leg, never mind knee-highs.

I always end up getting the ankle high boots.

My calves are not fat at all, but even *I* have a problem with finding boots that don't squeeze them to death. I'm not sure who fits into these things.

Thanks for your replies. I´ll look into these places.

Giiiiiiiirl! The last time I was at Target with my Mom, I said this exact thing to her after trying on a pair of those boots, with no luck.

"This is ridiculous! It's not like I have monster calves...well apparently I do, since I cant find a pair anywhere I go!!!" And she laughed.... (mom memory inserted there)

So, on a whim when I was picking up toilet paper from Wal-Mart, I saw a pair across the aisle from my T.P...and tried them on. And ziiiiiip - right up they went.

And they were $17.88. I figure, they may not last forever, but Ive worn them about everyday afterwards, and they were seventeen dollars! :cheer2:

I know, I hate that term also, but that is how I find them marked in the catalogs. I happen to be a Pooh sized woman and when I would look for riding boots I would get this look from women, like, "you know if you were not so fat, then you could find boots." Then I would have them feel just how muscular my calf is. But I would rather have muscular calves then "chicken legs".

People are forever feeling my calves. I swear it is genetic. While I'm a size 8 now, I still couldn't find boots when I was a size 4! Just big, muscular calves.

I just got a pair at Nordstrom.
