High Chairs for Resort Room

Most days we will be feeding our 10 month old breakfast in our room and I already know it gets very very messy if she isn't in a high chair. Does anyone know if there are high chairs available to be brought into the room? If not I think I will have to bring a rain coat and pants so I don't get messy.

We had a high chair in our 2BR at SSR. If you are staying at OKW you should have one in your room. If not, just call and ask! Never hurts to ask right?

All the DVC resorts have them in the room if they are missing fomr the closet Housekeeping will bring one for you. As for any other resorts I've never heard of them being available. We had similar issues and ended up buying a Phil & Teds Me Too clamp on chair. It folds up flat the size of a pizza box, we absolutly love it for travel.

One tip I used when my DS was 10 months old: we were staying at a Ritz resort in Maui (we lived on Oahu), and they brought us up a high chair. I took a bedsheet (called housekeeping for an extra) and spread it under him every time he ate. Then I could shake it out to lessen the crumbs on the carpet! If you have your condo you can get an extra sheet and do that, then wash it every day or so too. It helped us and them.

I used to have a nice little plastic chair thing that attached to a regular chair - wish I could remember what the brand was. We'd take it to relatives' houses when out - it had a tray and was very safe - it had a strap to attach both under and to the back of a regular dining chair. I don't know if they make those anymore. It also folded up very nicely.

Definitely call the resort ahead of time, or look into a travel one maybe.

Ooh, I'll have to stay at a DVC resort next time. A highchair in the room would make things so much easier. Before my last vacation I found a thin disposible plastic sheet that goes under the highchair. It's made by the same company that makes the disposible placemats, and comes with characters like Spongebob or Dora. It really kept to keep the baby food off the floor and it was easy to clean.

I just called our resort the Fort Wilderness Cabins and they said each of their cabins has one in the room.

Also though, I asked and they said that if you request one ahead of time ANY resort should be able to accomodate your need!

It doesn't hurt to call your hotel and ask. They really do want to make your stay as magical as possible.

And having 3 boys myself I absolutely know how important a high chair is when feeding a messy baby! Not to mention it gives you a break once a in awhile.
