Hifs?

I found the site after I posted you last night. I haven't called HIFS yet. I've been on the phone confirming my flight to Orlando w/Delta . . . loads of problems. I'll try calling HIFS w/my new priority card # tonight.

Thanks sooo much
Kathy

I just booked a car through Dollar using The code ENTERTAIN. We got a Full size car for 140.00/week plus 39.00 per extra day.

I guess all I have left to do is start reading up on things that are a must to do and see and of course wait for Nov!

:)

Can you request room locations at HIFS?
What is the best location with a preschooler and infant?
Thanks!

That's a good question. I asked for a pool view. I read somewhere that it is better to be in the main building so you don't have to do so much walking. Maybe someone can let us know where the best spot to be is??

I personally liked bldgs 8 and 9. Close to pool entrance and lobby. It's still a bit of a walk to the lobby but a very nice one (imo). When I received my confirmation it said a $20.00 fee is now being charged for poolview. I called the hotel to ask about this and they said priority members don't pay but they cannot guarantee poolview.

CountryDuck-- Inside the main bldg is the reception area, restaurants, game room, etc. There are no rooms in that bldg.

KimKE--If I'm remembering correctly, bldg. 9 is right near the kiddie pool and play area. That would be perfect for you.

HIFS offers a very good breakfast buffet for everyone staying in the room which is included in the room price. Also, the room is nicer than the All Star resorts in my opinion

What an understatement! We stayed in one of the KidSuites at HIFS, and would have to be forced to go anywhere else; two bedrooms, bunk beds for the kids (a treat for them, since they don't have that at home), TV/CD/VCR/Nintendo in their room (more stuff they don't have at home), kitchenette, nice living room w/TV, etc. Great (free) breakfast buffet, fast food/pizza and convenience store in the main building, great water-park-type pool, etc.... Probably 5 min drive from most of WDW.

We love it.

Have fun,
Dave

CountryDuck,
Couldn't get a $89 rate at HIFS w/my dates 11/1-11/8 even with my priority club card. I'll have to stick w/my FL Lottery USA code. But obtaining the priority card did get me benefits, including a late check out (2:00pmvs11:00am) and an express checkin! Thanks for your help. I requested a central located room. I don't need the kiddie pool. DD - 12 & DS - 10.
Thanks

Thanks for the heads up about the late check out. We're going in September and have the Family Value Package (includes breakfast and dinner buffet for all). I just called with my Priority Club Number and requested the late check out, this will help a lot as our flight is not until late afternoon. My kids will be thrilled now that they will be able to be in the pool before heading home. Now let's just hope it doesn't rain!!!!

Only kidding!!!!!!
After staying at HIFS this past April, I am having a tough time finding ANYTHING close to HIFS for our trip to Fort Myers/Cape Coral next month!!!!!!!
We have stayed at the Disney Complex over ten times since 1977 and never came home feeling we went on vacation and also thanks to all the people with tips on this website!
So don't Go!!! because it will be hard to find your next resort matching the ammenities and price.
HIFS HAS "IT" and DISNEY HAS LOST "IT"
Enjoy your stay!!!!!:jester:

I would like to thank everyone for the information you have posted. I called CR to make reservation for 2 nights Oct. 18 and 19th she said she knwe nothing about discounts for lottery tickets, I told her never mind then called the resort direct. I got a King Kids Suite for $109. per night. I have a friend living in Orlando who is going to mail me an old ticket.

Question: I applied for a Priority Card awhile ago they emailed me my numbers. I gave the gal my numbers over the phone when I reserved. I think I received a card but can't find it. Does anyone know if I need to show the card at check-in? I am not into collecting points for my stay, we only go once a year.

I never received a card, according to the email I received when I signed up for the club, it says they will mail you your card after your first use. So I would assume that you really don't need it as long as you gave them your number when you made your reservation. Guess maybe someone should call about that........

HI Ginger! I applied for it on line. They emailed me the priority card #. I then called the reservation desk and they said they would note it on my reservation. So far, I haven't received a hard copy of the card. The CR made me think that I didn't need it, since she noted it on my reservation. But, then again you know how that goes. . . . Good luck!

Well I feel better knowing that I didn't get a card. I've been looking all over my house thinking I got one and just misplaced it.

MK Familystone I have no idea who Tom Brady is I stopped watching football when Joe Namath retired. As I am sure you know Joe doesn't even look like this anymore.;)

Thanks MK Familystone for the FLUSA ticket! That was very nice of you! I can't wait to see this need place! Thanks a bunch.

We are flying into Orlando in a few days and I just can't stay out of those Publix Stores on my way to Fort Myers.
The flalottey.com has got as much of my interest as this site lately.
"Power to the Messenger"
Thanks All!
Enjoy!:jester:
