Hi,

I think we have decided to stay at the HIFS during our Nov trip to Disney. I have never stayed there. Does anyone know if you can request a specific type of kids theme (i.e. a Disney theme)? Should I request it while making the reservation? Do you suggest I fax a request a few days before I arrive as is suggested for the on site hotels?

Thanks,
Michelle

We tried to request an "endangered species" room because my son had seen a huge bald eagle in one of those rooms as we walked by the year before (and he is a huge bald eagle fanatic) but we didn't get one. I may have called it by the wrong name because when I asked at check in if they had any available, the girl looked at me like I was from another planet. We ended up with a circus room with clowns YUCK! BUt in the big scheme of things it didn't really matter. Our first year there we had a space room with pictures of astronauts and shuttles and planets etc. Much better than the clown/circus theme if you ask me!

IMO, location is more important than the type of wallpaper on the wall. If you have kids, you would probably want to be closer to the pool. We stayed in Building #8, 3rd floor and had a great view of the pool (which is very pretty at night). We didn't hear any of the pool noise in our room when the door was shut. Building 8 is right at the foot of the pool.
