HIFS renovations

Anyone just back from HIFS that can give me an idea about the new renovations??? do they have the pool done??? We are leaving Wed and just curious as to what to expect construction wise when we get there. I know what they are doing I am just wondering where they are at with it...thanks

Hi, I just got back from HIFS on Sat. As far as I could tell the only real construction being done was on the new entrance/lobby and that was on the other end from where we stayed at. The pools haven't been changed--in the current lobby there is a scaled down version of what the new hotel will look like. It looks pretty awesome--character dining, meeting rooms etc. We really liked the hotel--our oldest two kids loved having their own "room"--they are 2 and 4.5. The breakfast was good, we only ate a once at the counter for a meal--it was typical fastfood, nothing too impressive.
It was hot, hot, hot last week when we went. Now that we're home and being rained on all day we'd like to have a little of that heat again

Amy...thanks for the info ...We leave tonight!!! I know what you mean with the weather...Here in Ohio we have barely broke 70 lately and it rains almost daily...I keep joking that its pretty bad when you have to go to WDW in June to warm up..lol...HIFS is a great hotel...this is our 3rd stay there...It will be interesting to see what happens when its done...I've heard they are doing away with the free breakfast which is one major reason we stay there (the other is that our room is also free cuz of dh's frequent stays ( 3-4 nights a week x 40 + weeks a year) ) But we are definetly excited to see the new changes....my kids love nickolodean as much as they love disney!

I called HIFS to find out the pool situation. They told me that when we stay there 10/3-10/14, the new nick pool will be done. I don't know how accurate this is...he could have just been telling me what he thought i'd like to hear???
