I looked at 'Loving Care Color Creme' today at Walmart which covers your gray hair - has anyone ever used it? I don't want to make it obvious that I used any color and how do I know that it won't??

This coloring business is one that I leave to a professional. It's one way I treat myself. It costs $35.00 and is good for 3 months. I figure that's $1.00 a day to look my best. Maybe for the first time, you should try a salon and learn their tricks.

3 months?!! You're doing great Sheree!
Start with a semi-permanent color. Pick a color that isn't too dark. It should wash out instead of grow out with roots. You don't want roots before you have to have roots!! LOL Most color lasts between 4 and 8 weeks tops. 3 months is something else! I wouldn't expect that but you may get lucky. Hair generally grows a half an inch a month so right there your going to have some grays that have grown in. Good luck!

PS I recommend a professional too but I know many women who color their own hair and it looks very good. :)

I tried it once and I couldn't tell the difference from any other hair color. Could have just been me though. I am giving up coloring and going gray!!!

I have no gray. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. ;)

I don't have any gray in my hair, but I have used Loving Care many times for different costumes I've been in. If you are looking to do something to your hair that lasts longer than a week then Loving Care is not for you. It really only does last about 4-8 days for me (long hair and I shampoo twice) and it fades rather quickly. One of the Casting type colors are much better. They are semi-perm and will last up to a month or so. I usually color my hair myself, but I'm a brave soul and I've had good luck in general. I recently tried L'Oreal Paris' brand of casting colors and it did a good job and gave me a fairly true coloring to what the box showed. I do say though if you are wary in the slightest, go to a professional, they'll be sure to give you exactly what you want and make it look great too :)

LOL Buck! THat was my first thougt!! :D Sheree Im assumming you dont go to different from your natural.:)
Hair grows about 1/4 to 1/2 inch a month so it all depends on how much grey you have and how different light or dark you go from your natural. I usually recomend for one process color to be touched up every 4 to 6 weeks.
