Ditto...that is what we received also.

Do they still have this? I've read somewhere that this was dicontinued. My kids would think it was fun to find the paintbrushes. Kathy :earsgirl:

Just read a trip report with a family who found one of the paintbrushes so I would assume its still going on. If you want to check it out it was posted on the trip reports board. I think Day 15 on the Relaxing Vacation threads.

Thanks! I'll check out that trip report! Anyone know how early you have to get to Tom Sawyer's Island to have a chance at finding a paintbrush? Any tips on where to look? Kathy :earsgirl:

We were there the second week of June and our boys found a paint brush on Tom Sawyers Island. So, they were still doing it in June.

We received a front of the line pass to any ride we wanted in Magic Kingdom for our entire family.

You do have to get over to the island pretty early. We were on the second raft over in the morning.

The fast pass came in handy because we were there in June and it was very crowded. We used it on the Tomorrowland Speedway because it didn't have fast pass and always has a long slow moving line.

Normally the first boat over in the morning finds all the brushes- then it is over for that day.The island opens at 10.

Hint- brushes are very obvious. ;)

That would have come in very handy for us...DS2 was dead set on "driving" a race car. We stood in line for over an hour, got 3 people away from getting assigned a number to hop in a car, and they had to shut the ride down for the daily thunder storm. I literally started crying for him, but it didn't take him long to realize that we were walking past the empty cars and the CMs were all shouting to exit the line area immediately. :sad1:  :sad1:  He was devistated! I was, too. That is all he talked about wanting to do that day. They wouldn't even let us reform the line under the covered area when the rain stopped. Had to wait till they got the go ahead to restart (and since they sent 8 CMs on break when the storm started, that wasn't going to happen for a long time!). He never did get to ride...but was somewhat willing to settle for having his picture taken with dad in the car outside the ride. Maybe next time...and by then, he will be tall enough to drive one all by himself

I never heard of this. I would definitely use it on Tomorrow Speedway. Their lines are always so long. I don't understand why a fastpass hasn't been installed there. I'm assuming it's because it wouldn't work there, but I would think there could be something done to lessen the line for that ride.

We found in it July. We went on the first boat over at 10:00 and it was fairly easy to find. They told us the pass was only good on either SPlash Mountain or BTMR. Just be careful because we also found a snake on Tom Sawyers Island that morning. Now no amount of fast passes could get my dd back there!

This fast pass would not be valid for the speedway. Ours in the past have been for either of the 3 mountain rides.

It may have changed since June of this year. But, we used ours on Tomorrowland Speedway. We weren't sure if it could be used either. The ticket we were given said on it that it was good for any attraction at the MK for that day. We presented it to the CM at Tomorrowland Speedway. He swung open a section of the line fence and took us right to the loading area.

Ok, we tried to find the paintbrush on our last visit, people were finding them all around us but we must not of been looking in the right place. Any tips on actually finding the brushes (but not giving it away?). TIA!

All I can tell you is that our boys found it right after we got off of the raft. There is a covered area to the right of where you get off of the raft. They found it somewhere down there. They don't hide them extremely hard because they are meant for the kids to find.
