So I just learned that this existed at Haunted Mansion. I was wondering if anyone knows if cast members will still take you to see this if you ask or if you can just walk up (I saw somewhere online someone just took the exit ramp to the right of the actual ride exit and walked up)

I caught it first thing in the morn.. they took me to it from the front porch area. It's in one of my solo trip reports from last summer.

I've recently read that if you ask a CM, you'll get an escorted tour to it. But, it was warned to not do it yourself, I think you have to go through a gate.

I think it depends on how busy they are. I have asked in the past and the CMs said that they couldn't take me over there at that point, but I think if you went when it wasn't terribly busy you might have better luck. It's not as extensive as the pet cemetery that in the front of the house, but it's cute and I wish they would make it easier to visit.

Although it is just around the corner of the mansion, a CM needs to be present. Asking early in the day is a good idea.

There have been reports this area will be converted to ECV parking.

Ok awesome! I will just ask then :) Even if it is small it is neat to see something that is a little hidden secret

If it's busy the CMs won't be able to take you. Try to catch them first thing or if the HM isn't busy. I've seen it twice.

Word to the wise; BFF and her daughter snuck over (it isn't hard to do) last December without a CM and were 'tut tutted and finger shook' and escorted (politely) out of the area.

Last time I asked a couple of years ago, the cast member said 'sure, go back there'. Nobody went with me. I remember there was an ashtray in the small area between the house and the hill. For some reason I remember that better than the actual tombstones.
