Hi Everyone,
My mom and I were perusing our Disney contract, and we both got a little overwhelmed with some of the wording. It mentioned a $35 an hour fee for having favors at tables, which shocked us both. I wasn't sure if this meant for Disney to set them up, but it would be free if you had a family member do it. I'm really not sure. I'm under a strict budget and can't afford to go over, so I just wanted to ask all of you helpful Disney brides out there if there were any hidden costs that surprised you when all was said and done. Thanks!

Theres Only The 35$ Charge If You Have More Than 3 Items For Them To Place I.e. Favors Etc. See If You Can Cut Back Some Of The Stuff Maybe Give It To Your Guests In A Welcome Bag, Or Combine Them Somehow, And You Will Save The Money!

And it's only if you have 3 or more things per place setting, not per table. So, if you have a favor per person - you're fine. If you have a favor, a menu card, and a camera per place setting... then you pay. hth.

Thank you so much for your replies. It definitely helps a lot. Did anyone notice any other additional fees built into their BMOs that they weren't prepared for?

Yes, a "cake handling fee" mine is $550, but I'm hoping it will go down since I have to pick another cake. I think it's for moving the cake and cutting it too.

If you have 40 favor boxes for 1 person, yes they'll charge you. But 1 favor for each person (40 total), no you don't get charged. I think they basically do this so that people don't have an excess of stuff that Disney has to place for them. It makes sense. Hope you understand now :)

OH wow I am so glad you said that because I was wondering about this too! Not that 35.00 will break us but it just seemed a little crazy

Ok, so if we have a wedding at SBP and reception at Citrico's, there will be a cake handling fee to move it and potentially a serving fee at Citrico's, but then what happens to any left over cake? How does this get back to the hotel (do you just take it with you at the end of the night?) and is there another fee for this??

They will put it in a box and you can take it back to your hotel - no fee for this.

There is alot of $$$ involved with this cake stuff!!! So have I got this right - your pay the price for you're cake...then you pay for them to move the cake...then you pay for them to cut the cake? My cake best be the most amazing cake ever made for all this cost! LOL :rotfl:
