So glad to hear from you! What a mess for your SIL - I swear, the airlines are the worst part of the trip most times. Why they think any kid should sit without their parents on the plane (they tried to seat my three-year-old by himself one time) is beyond me. I'm glad that the kids all seemed to be in good moods, and you were making good time!

Thanks for the concern! I was just coming here to say we've been down with the flu, with no end in sight. One of the downsides of having a big family.
I'm doing ok, which I'm thankful for, as pregnancy makes you at higher risk for flu complications.

oh no , more disers struck by the flu. it seems like almost every trip report has some body sick. my ds has the flu last week. seems to be on the way out here. get well vibes for all

Checking in again...Have been put on bed rest and meds due to some preterm labor. the main concern is lung development, because I had been diagnosed with gestational diabetes not too long before, and then put on insulin when the diet didn't help. It's been a crazy month.
I see the high risk specialist tomorrow, as well as having an in depth ultrasound, and am hoping he will give us a game plan of when he feels I can safely go off rest and meds.
Baby is good size, and almost 36 weeks, so that's in our favor.

Having to use dh's laptop for computing, and don't have pics or write ups for the trip on it, so it might be a little while before I get an update. Please be patient with me!

Jensen Sophia Noelle M. arrived at 5:48 pm on 01/01/2010!

She was 9 lb 10.8 oz, and 21.5 in. long.

Thanks for all the prayers...things went pretty smooth after all the pre-labor drama!
