Hi, I'm new to the boards, and I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out how the Disney Visa Rewards Card works.
What discounts will it get you at Disneyland?
Also, how much money needs to be charged in order to get reward points, and does anyone know how many points you get to the dollar?
Thank you so much for any help!
I am so excited to get to know you all, and to celebrate our next trip to Disneyland!!!!!!!!:cheer2:

Some places are a straight 10% discount, others require $50 purchase. So that varies a bit.

You need to have 20 points before you can transfer them to a Rewards Card. Every $100 is 1 point.

My strategy - do a house payment with the card for your points and pay the Visa from your checking online immediately. You get the points and are out nothing and keep your credit card balance at zero. I usually will do that and groceries etc and then reimburse it all online.

The Disney rewards card is a cashback program for the chase disney visa. Rather than getting cashback however, you get 1 point for each $100 you charge. When you've accumulated 20 points you can order a rewards card & transfer your 20 points. The points now have a $ value. 1 point=$1 dollar.

Hi
I rarely post..but I am good at knowing what the card is good for..I put my trip on the card this year..for one month..then paid it off..I earned 44 reward points..I already had 22....THe card came yesterday and it looks just like a credit card..you even have to call to activate it...

Every time I go to both DL and WDW I use my card..It is good for 10% off various stores and restaurants..and free strollers (2) a day...You still have to do the stroller line..but when you get to the front show your card and they let you get one without charging..Also..there are various meet areas for the characters if you can't see them any other way..THe meet times and locations can be obtained from the company..PLUS you get priority seating for Aladdin and the parades..If I think of more..I'll write them..

That's right, don't forget about the free pic opportunity - it's a meet&greet with characters (and they change) at Ariel's Grotto - in the a.m. before they open, you head downstairs in the elevator and get to meet & have a pic taken.

How do you get priority seating for the parades? Who do you talk to or show the card to for the parade? Doesn't everyone who goes to the parade just sit and get their own seats, how does that work?
Thanks for all your help!!

As far as I know, the Disney Visa card does NOT get you priority seating at parades. The only way to get that is to book a tour that includes parade ps, and the Visa does give you a discount on the tour.

actually you do get priority seating for parades..when you book with Walt Disney Travel through your card..THey send you a paper which looks like a coupon..and you give it to a cast member before the parade..and they move you in a special area that is reserved..I know this because I asked specifically about 4 days ago on the phone...

Another cool part of the Disney credit card is that you can buy the Disney
Chase credit card exclusive pins, if you collect them. You have to ask for them at certain places in the park.:wizard:

Ah yes, it's the WDTC package, not the Disney Visa, that gets you priority seating. You don't have to use your Disney Visa to get ps though. Anyone who books through WDTC gets it. :goodvibes

Ah..okay..my mistake..but I wondered how one could get priority seating for a parade..but..it can be done...

What Benifits do you actually get at WDW? Looks like most of the benifits are for Disneyland. What resturants can you get the benifits from?

thanks

I know they have the meet and greets at Epcot..and 10% off some of the restaurants..I went last year..but..at WDW..I was told.. it changes yearly...so the best thing to do is call the customer service on the back of your card..That is how I found out about last year's specials..

I just got a Disney Rewards packet in the mail today..and yes..Visa does get you a preferred spot in the parade..plus..everything else mentioned on this thread..I don't know if anyone said this but..if you pay with your Visa..you get 6 mo free financing..I wouldn't let it stay on a Visa longer than that..though..as the interest will probably kill you...lol
