Hi! My name is Wendy. Im new to the boards. Im planning a trip to the Magic Kingdom this September. I have been many times, but its been awhile. There will be 4 of us. Two adults, a 4 year old and a 17 month old. We are close to Disney, 45 minutes or so (in Lakeland) so we dont need hotels and we are probably only gonna go for one day. Any tips/suggestions you can offer would be much appreciated!! Thanks!!

Welcome to the DIS, there are so many knowledgeable people here, you will spend many hours reading on this board. I can only say, if you are only spending one day, wear comfy walking shoes!

If you are only going for one day, I would make sure to make a PS at a restaurant so you won't have to waste time waiting to be seated.

Hope you have a wonderful time and ENJOY!!!!

Be sure to use FASTPASS. Be at the gates at opening and go to Fantasyland first thing.

Welcome to the board! I second going to Fantasyland first thing. If your kids (or you) want to ride Dumbo, make that your first stop, as that ride usually has long wait times and the earlier you get there the less time you'll spend in line. You might want to check out the Unofficial Guide for Walt Disney World or The Passporter as well for touring plans, which will help you get the most out of your day.

Have a magical day!
