Hi planing my 9th trip to dlp !We have 5 children all very differnet ages the younest are twin boys 3 disney mad just like me.My problem is DD2(she is nearly 18 so I can call her a problem) has said she would like to go on our next trip,dh not in to disney at all so stays at home DS1 13 loves DLP as much as me so will be coming to,this hasn't been a problem before as the twins where infants,I have rang disney and got a price for NPB 30th jan 6 nights half board £2310.75,santa fe £1879.95.I was wondering if any one new how many poeple can sleep in a suite, suite department shut at weekends.Have any of you stayed in a suite could you tell me a vague price or have any of you stayed in these family rooms ?Also do you think I would be better having 2 rooms i think this may be a cheaper option.one more thing do you think I should wait to book do you think we will get a better offer than the 25%,last time I got the 40% and a free day and night I think.I will be booking the eurostar separately to save money.I would love to here anyones thoughts. Thanks

I may be wrong but, i'm sure i've read that suites do not benefit from any offers, ie % off or free nights, so it may be cheaper to get 2 rooms.

I know that i went with my parents......many many years ago it worked out cheaper for them to get a room for themselves and my younger sisters and then a separate room for me.

I'm sure someone more in the know will be along shortly to help though :goodvibes

Hi ILOVEDLP :welcome: to the Disneyland Paris Trip Planning & Community Board.

Hoping you'll have lots of fun on here    please join in with any thread or if you have any questions please start a new one of your own.

If you haven't had a look yet, the DLP DISboard posting rules are here and the DIS posting guidelines can be found here. :)

My mind's gone blank - is it 5 or 6 that can sleep in the family room? I've got a feeling it's 6 but I'll have to look on the review to double-check.

Have you considered staying off-site at the Explorers? They do a room for 6, it's a room with a double and 2 singles with an adjoining cabin room with bunk-beds. I know you'd have to buy either tickets or annual passes but you may find this is a cheaper option than staying at a Disney hotel.

I think somewhere like Explorers would be a better options as well.

Its often cheaper to get 2 rooms rather than a family room however if the eldest isnt 18 yet will they allow you to book 2 rooms with only 1 adult in the group? Also if they did you would probably have to pay single adult supplement on both rooms which bumps the price a little as well.

Hi we had booked a family room in the Newport Bay for our trip a couple of weeks ago as there are 5 of us. When we booked the room was just about £50 more expensive than 2 rooms in the Cheyenne but cheaper than 2 rooms in the Sequoia which is why we chose it. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite so it is possible for them to sleep 5 but the room was set up with a very large bed in the bedroom and a double sofa bed in the lounge area which gave me the impression they are designed to sleep 4. There were also just 4 sets of towels. We were given a pull out bed for our youngest DD and had plenty of space for it but got the feeling it wasn't routine.

Thanks for all your quick replies, willl price the other hotels.Realy don't want to spend that kind of money and have it feel like where having a budget holiday.Any other thoughts I would be grateful x

We've done a family room for 5 at DLH, but only because we got 40% discount.

We've also done 2 rooms at HNY which actually worked out much better. A child over the age of 12 is classed as an adult when it comes to pricing, so we were 4 adults and 1 child - even though my kids were 4, 13 and 15 at the time.

I think the 2 rooms is actually better - you get 2 bathrooms which is very handy. Also, everyone had their own bed, so no squabbles over sharing.

The only consideration is that Disney will always tell you that adjoining rooms are not guaranteed. I worried about this until we got there. I was told to phone the hotel 5 days before arrival, as this is when their booking system is uploaded, and request adjoining again. I did, but was still advised it was not guaranteed. It turned out fine, but it is a bit of a risk.

Have had two rooms at HNY and Cheyenne and agree that having two bathrooms is definitely a bonus. If you are travelling by car you might also consider the Davy Crockett Ranch. The newer cabins are lovely, sleeping 6 with two loos/basins/showers.
