Hi, can someone please recommend an offsite hotel?? First time not staying on site...9/11-9/18 Looking for a hotel or resort that may have good enough transportation to not have to rent a car..(we're on vacation, right?) and something close enough to be able to feel Disney magic.

I'm going to be going with my bf, and my three and a half yr old daughter. We're very excited and not looking for something that's VERY expensive (thats why we're staying off site) but we're not going to just settle for a place..any recommendations would be great, thanks
Kristen

Your best bet is to check the thread here about best and worst hotels. There are SO many places to stay off-site, you won't believe it when you get there. You should probably just scroll down this forum and see what people say. Most places off-site don't have the greatest shuttle service. Some have nice pool areas, some have breadfast, etc. Try Hotel Kingdom. com for descriptions and good rates. Happy hunting.

I also second hotelkingdom.com for good hotel rates. Also check tripadvsior.com for hotel reviews.

You can look into Downtown Disney Hotels to. Downtown Disney resosrts has transporatiion to parks. It next best transportation to Disney resorts. You can get lucky on hotelkingdom.com to find a good price.

You is going in value season for the onsite resorts. You can get a value resort as low 77.00 a night

Are you willing to bite the bullet and try priceline. You could most likely get a 3* (all pretty nice) for that time range for $35 ish a night. Possibly even pick up a resort for low $60's a night since it is value season.

Hi, thanks for all of your replies...Im definately going to bite the bullet and try Priceline...3 star range..I've been doing a lot of research and I've seen that some of the best rates are via PL..you know what??? We're not planning on being in the room a lot, yes my three yr old is going to need a nap but other than sleeping, we dont plan on being at the hotel a lot..
Thanks,
Kristen

Great Plan... I would suggest holding on the Priceline bid until early September as this is a fairly slow time at Disney ( and a great time to go, I might add!). Holding on these bids is hard cuz we are exited and want to get a place. If you get so exited you want to try earlier just put in a 35 to 38 dollar bid and if it is rejected you can try a week later and a week later and so on....

Have a great time....Grandpa Ted
