HI
I am new to this board as I usually based over on the DLRP board, but I am starting to think about a possible 2007 holiday in Florida, and was hoping for a bit of advice re. flights. Unfortunately our kids are now all classed as adults and so we need 6 flights, but most of the websites I have looked at are only booking up to April 2007. The cheapest fly drive I can find is with TCD which is about £450 per person, but I would rather book separate flights and do my own car hire. Has anyone managed to book flights for summer 2007? Anyone know of any good flight booking websites which have good deals. All help gratefully received!

Most air websites (including the airlines themselves, Expedia, airline-network.co.uk) wont allow you to book flights more than a year in advance.

So you are looking a bit early to book independently... Also, watch out for end of Summer sales for airlines like BA (normally have a sale in August/September - so a good time to book). You will probably find that Virgin will either have a sale at the same time or price-match anyway...

Cosmos have flights only to sanford.

We priced up for sept/oct and started at 389 per adult for a flight from Manchester.

So depends when you want to travel, and they have dates for next year on sale.

Hello TotallyAngelic

This early on the best you will be able to do is a fly drive - as the poster above says you cannot book a scheduled flight only until 11 months before the return flight.

In the past we have had good prices from Bon Voyage and this year we are using Virgin's miles plus money to geta great deal on the price of our flights :)

Where would you be flying from, or do you not mind?

As well as the points above : I would ignore your "free" car hire, you are normally tied into to buying their insurance & in nearly all circumstances you are cheaper buying an inclusive package elsewhere. This year www.holidayautos.co.uk have been the cheapest we have found. There is also a company in uK that will sell you a yearly Fully Comp insurance for around £100 ( I'm sure another Poster will give you details) & it's worth checking if the car hire company will accept it.
As I stated on another post UK tourist figures are 20% down in Florida so you may find some great deals for next year
