Back in August 2008 I joined these boards because my mother (I believe she's corky441 here) is an active member and hangs out here all the time. Unfortunately I can't access the DISboards while I'm at work and the majority of my posting time is between meetings. Instead I was an active member of what was then known as DWT (now WDW Radio). Now that they too are blocked while I'm in the office, I've been branching out to find new "homes" but alas, most of those I CAN reach from work, just don't have that sense of a huge community behind them.
After my mother left to attend the big event at DHS with all of you last week I decided maybe it was time to make my return... plus I'm also the happy owner of an iPhone so looks like I'm set for when I'm not at an unmanaged PC!
So here's a little about me:
Hi folks! First let me just say how much I'm excited to be here! I was an active member of what was formerly DisneyWorldTrivia.com for gosh... nearly 3 years. Unfortunately after they moved their site to the WDWRadio site, I could no longer access it from work which was truly my only time to visit (between craziness and meetings). It's been over a year since I've been there and I'm still searching for my WDW Forum home as a result. Maybe I'll luck out here!
My name is Jenn and I live with my husband, 4 year old son, 2 dogs, cat, and fish (sheesh) in the Charlotte area of NC. I am what a lot of people have dubbed a "Disney Snob" and refer to myself as such on some other forums.
My love of all things Disney began back when I was a very young girl. My first trip to Disney was in 1983, just a couple months after the EPCOT Center opening, so as you can imagine I was raised on Epcot. Even as a child it was my favorite park. My parents always used to pick on me for not wanting to go to the Magic Kingdom but I enjoyed Horizons and the original Imagination so so much more. I am a bit of a purist when it comes to all things Disney. I believe in keeping the classics and updating them rather than completely refurbishing them or tearing them down to build anew.
