Are you definitely staying there? Check in takes place at Vista. No one knows for sure where they are staying until then.

I am flying down the day before but I am not sure what I should do that night...if I should stay onsite or off because I know that if I stay off I can get a taxi but if I stay onsite will I be able to get transportation to Vista Way for check in the next day???

I'm coming down the August 13th for my 14th check in day. I think I'll stay at the Hayat hotel in Orlando International, but I dont know how the price is there. For transportation to Vista Way I'll take the Meers Shuttle from the airport, its like $18 to get there I think. I'm in merchandise, anyone else?

I am in Quick Service Food & Beverage....yea I wanted to take Mears but I don't know how that works.....I can't really afford an expensive hotel so I am hoping to find a place cheap. I would really like to stay on the property that night and then I wouldn't have to travel very far the next morning but again I don't know how transportation works.....got any clues???? And if you find out how much the Hyatt is can you let me know???

The Hyatts kind of pricey. After doing research I don't think I'll stay there, its 185 for a standard room for 1 night. On one of the threads there is some info on where someone could stay. Mears shuttles arrive at the airport every 20-25 min. and take you to where you need to go.I guess you get on, tell them where you need to go, and pay them. I hear theres several hotels near Vista Way, some within walking distance.

I also am going the 13th for my check in date of the 14th.... and have no idea about where to stay the night before. A few people have told me that the Holiday Inn Sunspree is REALLY close... But I just don't know.. not having a car might be harder then it seems

the Holiday Inn Sunspree is literally right across the street from the Vista Way complex, where check in is held. There's a light that you can use to cross the street. The Sheraton Vistana is equally close, but that's a timeshare, so likely to be far more expensive.

There are other hotels that are reasonably close, but none as close as the Sunspree. In terms of walking distance, the next closest would probably be the NickHotel, which is probably roughly 3 (longish) blocks from Vista Way, and I don't remember if there are sidewalks the whole way or not. Also in that direction is the Buena Vista Suites, and the Caribe Royale (both about 4 blocks away). In the other direction, the Downtown Disney area hotels (Grosvenor, LBV Hilton, Doubletree) are about 5-6 blocks away, and a little further (7-8 blocks) is the Sheraton Safari, a Holiday Inn Express, and a few others that I'm forgetting the name of at the moment.

The closest hotel on property would probably be Saratoga Springs, followed closely by Port Orleans. SSR is probably about a 12-13 block walk, and Port Orleans is approaching 20 blocks (from Vista Way). Walkable, yes, but I wouldn't really recommend it. Closest of the Disney value resorts would be Pop Century, which is, as the crow flies, probably about 16 blocks, but sticking to roads, and the way the roads are laid out, probably closer to 25 blocks.

Yes, the Holiday inn sunspree is where I will be staying the night before I check in...I am due to arrive on Aug 21st. I got a rate of $84.99 anight....

For those looking for Hotels... if you stay on Disney property they have free transportation from the airport to one of their hotels.
If you guys didn't already know.

I called the toll free number of my priority club card....give them (hotel toll free number) a call and see what rate you get....then we will take it from there....
