I'm Pam. mom of 2 kids. Married 13 years. We are going to Disney World one week from Wednesday. Super duper stoked. :wizard:

I made up a "count down calender" for my kids. The best thing ever. We have been counting down for 3 months now. When my kids ask "when do we go to disney",I would just point to the calender and tell them to find mickey.

Yes, I know well of the craziness of Disney. We're headed for trip 43 in September and by the count down clock on my computer, 73 more days. We've been thru the countdowns many a times with our children, now as empty nesters, we still get excited and watch the count down. Nothing like that first gasp of Florida air, the blast of heat getting off the train, we're Amtrak travelers. We're giddy as all get out getting to the store to pick up supplies and get to the resort as fast as possible. We've fell in love with the WL, location and price, and as soon as we check in, store the groceries and libations, don our swim suits and fill a cooler and head to the pool, we say, "welcome home, we're finally here". Such a feeling, such a rush and we're not even in the MK yet, park of our dreams, and when we do make the journey over to the MK, that first glimpse down Main Street, priceless, nothing matters in the whole wide world, we're young again. I hope you make all the fond memories we're accummulated thru the years and never lose sight thru a childs eyes of the magic. Enjoy.

Hi Pam, and welcome!

Our trip is 3 weeks from tomorrow and I can't WAIT!

A couple of quick tips:

- It's possible to have groceries and/or water delivered to your room-- it's a LOT cheaper than buying in the parks! For just water, try www.staples.com or www.costco.com . For groceries as well, try www.gardengrocer.com or www. wegoshop.com I love having water and breakfast foods in the room!

- Hit Walmart or someplace similar and get hand held misters. The ability to spray cool water into your face will make the summer heat so much more bearable!!!

- LIkewise, hit the dollar store or Walmart and load up on disposable ponchos. You'll be so glad you did!

Have a wonderful trip!!
