Hi guys
Just walked in through the door and thought I would post a quick thread to say we are back. Had the most fantastic time.
I will get round to doing a trip report as soon as I am back in the land of the living, but here are a few highs and lows of the 2 weeks, many more highs than lows, and Im sure I have forgotten some already
Highs
Meets - Fantastic to meet so many dissers over there, special thanks to Kaylee, Alan and Joseph, who looked after us so well and who we spent so much time with, wonderful memories
Was fantastic to meet up with, John(night-train) Laura(Mrs night-train) and their daughter Caitline, along with Deb, Matt, Kev, Tam,and girls, Susan, Shirley and husband, Carolyn, El Tel and daughter, Jackie(jns) and family, Vernon, ClareD and family, and anybody else that I may have missed who came along to a great Dis meet. Im sure I will remember more when my brain kicks into gear.
Dolphin Resort - This features in both my highs and lows for a number of reasons, but the highs were: fantastic location, lovely room,Wonderful heavenly beds,Krispy Kreame doughnuts
Wonderful pool area.
Weather - just wonderful, late 70's to early 80's most days with fairly low humidity, 2 days of rain but nothing to speak of.
Location, Location, Location - Just wonderful,
Parks - First week was bliss, no crowds, no long queues, busier the second week but still very managable.
Universal - Great to get back and do Universal and I even plucked up the courage to do Duelling Dragons
MNSSHP - Brilliant
Food and Wine at Epcot - truly fantastic, what a fabulous time to be at Epcot, Still remains my favorite park and the place we spent most of our time, simply wonderful
Many more highs im sure and I will add them as I think of them.
Lows:
6 hour delay on the flight going over, and then an 11 hour flight on top.
No seatback tv's on the way back,(technical problems) and then a 6 hour round trip from Manchester Airport to Cardiff with 5 train changes.
Being ill the first week and having to spend a whole day in bed, missing out on a day at Universal.
Having a nasty fall at Epcot in the rain and hurting my back in the second week.
Dolphin,- whilst this is a wonderful hotel, its just not Disney, huge resort, very bussiness like, with lots of conventions being held, room miles away from the pool area, and the pool area closing at 9pm each night, this really was a downer for us, as we like nothing better than a late night swim after getting back from the parks and alas this was not to be, however the location more than made up for this.
Coming home
Cant think of anything else for now as im too jet lagged to think.
Hope you are all well and that you have been looking after Mandy for us
Off to have a little catch up on the boards, whilst trying to stay awake for a bit longer as we have been on the go now for about 24 hours.
Feel free to ask any questions
Great to be back on the boards
