Hi guys

Just walked in through the door and thought I would post a quick thread to say we are back. Had the most fantastic time. :thumbsup2 :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I will get round to doing a trip report as soon as I am back in the land of the living, but here are a few highs and lows of the 2 weeks, many more highs than lows, and Im sure I have forgotten some already :)

Highs

Meets - Fantastic to meet so many dissers over there, special thanks to Kaylee, Alan and Joseph, who looked after us so well and who we spent so much time with, wonderful memories  Was fantastic to meet up with, John(night-train) Laura(Mrs night-train) and their daughter Caitline, along with Deb, Matt, Kev, Tam,and girls, Susan, Shirley and husband, Carolyn, El Tel and daughter, Jackie(jns) and family, Vernon, ClareD and family, and anybody else that I may have missed who came along to a great Dis meet. Im sure I will remember more when my brain kicks into gear.

Dolphin Resort - This features in both my highs and lows for a number of reasons, but the highs were: fantastic location, lovely room,Wonderful heavenly beds,Krispy Kreame doughnuts ;) Wonderful pool area.

Weather - just wonderful, late 70's to early 80's most days with fairly low humidity, 2 days of rain but nothing to speak of.

Location, Location, Location - Just wonderful, :Pinkbounc

Parks - First week was bliss, no crowds, no long queues, busier the second week but still very managable.

Universal - Great to get back and do Universal and I even plucked up the courage to do Duelling Dragons :thumbsup2

MNSSHP - Brilliant :thumbsup2

Food and Wine at Epcot - truly fantastic, what a fabulous time to be at Epcot, Still remains my favorite park and the place we spent most of our time, simply wonderful :thumbsup2

Many more highs im sure and I will add them as I think of them.

Lows:

6 hour delay on the flight going over, and then an 11 hour flight on top.

No seatback tv's on the way back,(technical problems) and then a 6 hour round trip from Manchester Airport to Cardiff with 5 train changes.

Being ill the first week and having to spend a whole day in bed, missing out on a day at Universal.

Having a nasty fall at Epcot in the rain and hurting my back in the second week.

Dolphin,- whilst this is a wonderful hotel, its just not Disney, huge resort, very bussiness like, with lots of conventions being held, room miles away from the pool area, and the pool area closing at 9pm each night, this really was a downer for us, as we like nothing better than a late night swim after getting back from the parks and alas this was not to be, however the location more than made up for this.

Coming home :sad2:

Cant think of anything else for now as im too jet lagged to think.

Hope you are all well and that you have been looking after Mandy for us :teeth:

Off to have a little catch up on the boards, whilst trying to stay awake for a bit longer as we have been on the go now for about 24 hours.

Feel free to ask any questions :thumbsup2 Great to be back on the boards :thumbsup2

Welcome home bab :grouphug:

It's great to have you home. It sounds like you've had a great holiday, though sorry to hear that you were poorly and about your fall (are you sure it was the rain and not due to the Food & Wine festival :rotfl: ). I hope you're OK now

Everyone has been really good for the past two weeks and thankfully Reid has been on here all the time, so if there had been any probs, I knew he'd be around - not that there were any (thanks Reid)

So when are you going back ?? :rotfl2:

Are you able to relax for a day or two or are you straight back to work ?

I look forward to hearing all about your trip

Mandy :)

Welcome back. :wave2:

Mandy is probably having a big sigh of relief now that your back. :teeth:

Hello honey

I can honestly say that it was the rain and not the wine that caused my fall, I had not even had one drink when I went down (might not have hurt so much if I had :rotfl2: )

Had a fantastic time, I have tomorrow off, so I have a day to relax and get the washing on ;) No more trips now until 2008 :sad2: just in time for Vickis 18th birthday. We had plans to do a Disney cruise in August 2008, but we enjoyed October so much that those plans may now change and we may just do 2 weeks back in October, def at the Pop or Allstars, who knows what will happen, I have to take Vickis A levels in account so October may just be a better time to go ;) The weather was so wonderful this time of year and we loved MNSSHP, we even managed to grab a sneak preview of the Osbourne Christmas lights, which were fantastic.

So much to tell you all, but I will save most of it for the Trip Report :thumbsup2

Welcome home hun :goodvibes Sounds like Vicki and you had a great time.
Hear all about it soon :)

welcome home Sue, looking forward to hearing all about it

Welcome back. I know what you mean about the location. We just came back from a few days at Beach Club Villas a couple of weeks ago and was really pleased with the walk to Epcot and to MGM.

Still prefer the location of Saratoga Springs because of the walk to Downtown Disney but would definately do either Boardwalk Villas a Beach Club for a few days when visiting Epcot especially in October for the Food and Wine festival.

Sorry to hear you were ill and had a fall. Hope you are feeling better.

Susan

Hi Jen

We flew with My Travel, going over apart from the delay and the extra long 11 hours 45 mins flight, it was fine, good food, and great TV entertainment, although the cabin crew were a little unhappy looking, coming back, again, a great flight, only 7 hours, great food and a pity about the TV's not working, but I have to say the cabin crew on the return flight were wonderful, they were very sorry about the entertainment and seemed to come around with more than the normal amount of drinks, which of course pleased me no end :lmao:

Welcome Back! :teeth:

Glad you had a great time, looking forward to your trippie, and pics
