Hi Hi Hi...Airline costs for Oct.!

Wow, looking at airfares for Oct. trip and highest I can recall in years!
Hopefully they might come down a little soon? Can someone throw me a bone in terms of some kind of optimism on the situation???

We booked our air travel for October earlier this week...Airtran was running a special and they offer the $10 voucher. So I was able to book us around $168/roundtrip per person. The prices were slightly more than we paid in 2009, but not too ridiculous. I hope you can find a decent fare!!

I booked AirTran out of Grand Rapids for just a hair under $200 r/t. I've paid less to fly out of Detroit, but now that AirTran flies out of GR, I only have a 10 minute drive to the airport. GRR to MCO was always around $300 r/t and there were no non-stops. Now that AirTran is here, airfares have dropped about $100 AND I can fly non-stop. I hope that the SW acquisition doesn't take them away.
