Nice to see all you folks from Tennessee! My family will be taking our first family vacation to Tennessee starting on 4th of July. We'll be visiting Gatlinburgh/Pidgeon Forge area using our time share for a week. We're really excited about it. Any suggestions?
The Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area is packed with touristy type things to do which can be a lot of fun. If you haven't been to a Ripley's Aquarium, I would suggest that. Dollywood is a very nice theme park. I'm taking my son there for his birthday on July 7 this year. I'm also thinking about taking him to the Dixie Stampede dinner show, which isn't the kind of thing I usually go in for, but I think it will be fun. There are helicopter rides, bungee jumping, miniature golf. And of course, you have the Great Smoky Mountains National Park there, which is beautiful. So there are lots of outdoorsy things like fishing, white water rafting, cycling, etc. And I believe they have more pancake restaurants per square mile than anyplace else in the country.
