I just wanted to update everybody on my sons journey.We made it cross country California to DW and we survived strep throat, a couple of infected toes, a funeral for grandmother, and we made it to Florida.For those who are at DL you made the right choice if you are over say 40.The heat here in Orlando is totally overwhelming, they have mesquitoes, and it rains every afternoon so plan accordingly.

My son survived orientation and he is much better on the mend health wise.He seems to like DW so far lots to do.We are probably the only people here who aren't going to the parks.We figured he would be here a year and he doesn't have his cast pass yesterday.It is really a fast flight from Austin they go straight over the water.Non stop to Orlando hard to beat.

Did I mention that it was hot.Oh yeah and the toll booth does not give change so you are SOL if you don't have your quarters.Guess I will be hearing from the toll folks soon.Enjoy the DL my friends I miss the CA racers, not the same without my CM.Stay safe..

Yeah, DH and I are both over 40 and we both agreed there is just no way we'd go back to WDW in that heat. Every day we'd walk out the door of our hotel and be tired from the heat and humidity within 30 seconds, even at 8AM. Then I'd check my phone for Anaheim weather and it was like 70. I kept saying, "Why did we do this??"

Glad your son is enjoying it, though.
