Hi from Illinois

I'm from Illinois, too. It was thundering and raining her a couple of hours ago. We're going in June and can't wait. Have fun in May!!!

Thanks for the advice but my 10 year old won't be a problem she has boundless energy, it is my 7 year old, she gets tired quickly and doesn't like being really hot so hopefully it won't be too hot when we go. I have a feeling I will have to rent a stroller for her - how sad since she will be 8 when we go. This past summer we spent a day at Great America in Gurnee and it was probably the hottest most humid day of the summer and they were ok. Now I know the WDW parks are much bigger than Six Flags, but I'm hoping they will be fine me on the other hand maybe I should start walking everyday to get ready!

I live in Gurnee very close to Great America in fact. You should be fine in May, that's when my wife and I are going too. We decided on May because on our first trip we went in August. Talk about hot and humid. I have pictures of me with my shirt half soaked with sweat. Never again will we go in August. We still had the time of our lives, but we are looking forward to "milder" temps and humidity in May.
