Hi from a Very advanced planner

I've been register on the board for a while and asked some questions last november when we went to disneyland (my children had their first disney experience) Lessons learned from that: Don't let my kids ride scary rides with my parents and whale mouths are considered scary).

The plan is to go in September or October 2012. But I'm a planner and I love disney so here I am.

Joining you in the planning for August 2012. Let's get this party started! I am anxiously awaiting and dreaming of everything Disney lately. We have visited the mouse in 2009 and 2010. We are taking a break this year and returning next year with both of our daughters who will be 16 and 17 and they are each bringing a friend, for a grand total of 4 teenage girls. Needless to say, we are definitely going to need an extra bathroom. We are going to do 2 rooms at Pop, one for myself and my husband, the other for the girls, lol! I will join you in early planning!

Planning now for August early???? No way! WDW is an awesome place, but it definately requires advancd planning. My 20 yr old daughter loves to make scrapbooks with ADRs, EMHs,park touring plans, flight reservations etc etc. Its never too early to start!

We're planning to go August 2012. I've gone through at least 4 different ideas on resorts, but I think we've settled on the Beach Club

We'll book as soon as the prices come out this August.

Oooh Alice, I have thought about Beach Club too for our August 2012 trip but with 4 teenage girls, I either need a family suite or 2 rooms. While I have been spoiled last year with the Poly, I am hoping that I will not be let down by Pop. This is a trip more for my teenage girls and less for me and my husband this time around. It will most likely be our last Disney whole family gathering until after my girls are college graduates. I can still day dream though, lol!

Oh, yeah-- that one extra person changes everything!

For us, staying at a Deluxe with a daybed just makes more sense. BC is a few hundred dollars cheaper than the Poly, and the kids are dying to see StormAlong Bay.

And it's funny you mention who the trip is "all about." The past 2 trips were the ones surrounding a mastectomy and radiation-- they were absolutely all about me.

This year at school has been brutal; we've lost 5 staff members (everything from cancer to a car accident). As much as I've had wonderful kids and amazing coworkers, I'm back into Disney planning mode as an escape.

I can't wait!

Right now I'm just sort of taking it all in and getting ideas. I'm in the mist of trying to help get a conference of several hundred people organized (the first ever of this particular conference). So after labor day weekend (and the conference) is over. I'll move into high gear of disney planning. I would love to stay at the beach club and possibly with the yes tickets I might be able to but most likely I'll be staying at POP or Movies.

We're also planning our trip for 2012 in October. It's never too early to plan a trip to WDW! My DD says we have a Disney 'problem' or 'obsession'. I don't think its a problem at all! You'll find all kinds of tips and ideas on here. Have fun planning!
