Hi! I'm a newbie to the boards. Last year my husband and I went to WDW for on honeymoon and now we're hooked! We're hoping to go back December 2008 (I can't imagine how much more magical it is at Christmastime, although Pop Warner scares me a bit) and can't wait til they release those 2008 vacation packages! Anyway, I really wanted to join in on the posts so here I am. Hello all!

Congrats on your wedding! Disney is a wonderful honeymoon! Make sure you wear the honeymoon pins - I've never been congratulated so much in my life!

Hello to the both of you! I am somewhat of a newbes also. Congratulations on the weddings. This dis board is the greastest! We have never been to WDW before.. we are going on our first WDW vacation Sept 10-22. (free dining!!!!) So I have gotten some great tips from this board. I feel like although I have not been there before, I am a little better prepared.

Thanks for the congrats and the reminder about the pins. We are definately wearing the hats - my DF is actually excited about wearing his top hat - so I am hoping that is a good sign that it won't take much for the Disney bug to fully overtake him

Tammysue - I'm so jealous of your free dining trip! We had the dining plan on our honeymoon and thought it was a great moneysaver. Hope you have an amazing trip!

hello i'm also new. congrats on your honeymoon in WDW. i have been to disney about 4 times but when i was like 10 or so. now i have a family of my gone, we are so hopeing to go to WDW in 2008 as well.

Christmastime at Disney is magical! Our most recent trip was '06 for our 4 year old twin boys first time! We were there during Pop Warner, but stayed at POFQ (Port Orleans French Quarter-totally wonderful, BTW!) and didn't notice the Pop kids at all. The park volume wasn't huge either. I think they tend to be in competitions during the day.
The weather was nice, we even swam outdoors at night!

OOOHH! Just saw that you were planning on staying at POFQ! Good choice! We have stayed at WL, CS, POR etc-and loved all of them, but POFQ is so convenient sizewise, and for great busing!!

I'm so glad to hear POFQ was okay during Pop Warner! I was actually thinking about switching resorts because I heard the Pop Warner kids spill over into POFQ, but my husband and I pretty much have our hearts set on the resort. We couldn't decide between CSR and POFQ for the honeymoon so we concluded we'll just have to go back and try both!

My husband, 6-yr old and I stayd at Pop Century for 2 weeks in May - I've been at WDW a few times as listed, but now we're all hooked!

Just signed on for 200 points at AKLV today! I can't want to book my next trip!

Hi Mike! The pins are free and we received them at check in. I believe you can get them at Guest Services in the Magic Kingdom as well. I think they also give out "First Timer" and "Birthday" pins to wear. They do also have bride and groom Mickey ears. The bride's is white sequined ears with a veil, headband style, and the groom's is a black top hat with ears. We bought ours on ebay. Hope that helps!
