in June. We have narrowed down our hotel choices to either the Comfort Suites Maingate East or the Embassy Suites - LBV. We have 2 children ages 8 and 4. Which one of these hotels is better and if neither is ok, where would you stay? We would prefer to keep our costs in the moderate range and we will be renting a car if this makes a difference. Thanks all! :)

i always vote for an Embassy Suites - great happy hour and breakfast and lots of room to spread out. Just my two cents worth.

We stayed in the comfort suites maingate east in May 2005 and it was great and the breakfast is worth it. Have you thought about a condo, seeing you are going to have a car. On our last two trips we have stayed in a vacation home and a condo and will only go that way now. The condo we stayed in in Dec. 07 you could probably get it for about $650 for the week in June. This is a
3 bedroom / two baths, 2 min walk to the pool, kitchen, living room, dining room and about 10 mins away from Door to parking gate. What ever you decide I am sure you will have a great time. If you are interested in the condo, just pm me and I can give you the details of the owner. He was awesome to work with.

Another similar hotel to the ones you mention is the Doubletree Guest Suites in Downtown Disney. A lot closer to the Disney parks. It receives great reviews. Very kid/family friendly

I would stay in Lake Buena Vista over US 192 anytime. Go with Embassy Suites, based on your two options.
