Hi everyone--first post on Scrapbooking board. I bought a Cricut!

I usually hang out on Photoboard and it's time to get some of my work in scrapbooks.
I bought a little Personal Cricut ($99 at Michael's last week, can't beat that!) It's time for some cartridges beyond the George. Where can I find them for the best price? Any suggestions on the best ones (looking for fonts first, I think).
I'm looking forward to learning from you all and I'll share my stuff in turn!

Welcome to the scrapbooking board where you will find great, supportive people and lots of creative ideas!
Trust us, once you get going with your Cricut, the sky is the limit! As far as finding the carts, watch your local ads for Michael's, ACMoore, Joann's, Hobby Lobby (we usually only abbreviate here) and many other stores for sales, coupons etc... There are some online stores or ebay sellers that folks here can direct you to also. Have fun and we look forward to you sharing.

I suggest that you also check out the Cricut Messageboards to see projects and get info about each cartridge. The ladies over there are pretty good about enabling and will post good sales and coupons that they find.

I am a member over at the cricut boards. I had my cricut 2 years before I did anything with it. Then I got on the cricut boards and did some swaps and I got a good hang of how it works. There is a lot of drama going on over there right now, but I can send you links of swaps I have done that have pictures or I have links to other swaps that have been done.

the message boards are great at Cricut, just you wait until Thanksgiving time rolls around I always get carts for $29 at Michaels the day after Thanksgiving. Make a list now and save your $.

Just picked up the new Stand and Salute cartridge, love love love it!! I can't wait to get started on DH's Navy pages.

I have both the small and the big Bug and use them every chance I get.
For font carts I would suggest Opposites Attract, Alphalicious, and Plantin Schoolbook.

I get mine on Ebay. You have to be patient with ebay though. If you keep watching you can get them pretty cheap. I never paid over $30 for any of mine.

Hi Quicklabs! I'm on the photography boards a lot too since just getting my first DSLR! Welcome to the scrapbooking boards. Your fur babies are so cute, you'll probably love the paper pups cartridge. It's all dog stuff. You are gonna love the Cricut. I don't know how I ever scrapped with out mine. Can't wait to see some of your layouts!
