Hi(: Eeeeep! Im Going To Yacht Club!!!

Well..first of all..HI!! LOL
Well I am very very excited because in about 7 days I will be at WDW!
Me..my mom..and my dad are gonna be staying at the Yacht Club for 4 days/3nights.
I was wondering if any of you have stayed at the Yacht Club and what are your opinions on the resort?? Also, since sundays Fathers Day, I want to do something nice for my dad. Does anyone have any ideas on what me and my mom could do for my dad??

Wow thats cool! I have never been to the yacht club but Disney is always a treat. You can get a card for your Dad or you can take him out the dinner! I'm sure it will be fun!

That's a good idea...maybe I can get him a special gift though and have it sent to the room. They have a character breakfast at the Beach Club I think so yea..we're gonna try to go there.

i haven't stayed yacht but i've stayed beach! the pool is like a mini water park! they are both really nice resorts... the grand flo of the epcot circut (although boardwalk is really nice too!) i'm not sure how much of a "disney geek" ur dad is. but u could always get the characters to sign ur dads fathers day cards. or in WS u can have a cast member in each country write happy fathers day in there native launguage. WS also has a lot of non-disney gifts in each country. have fun! i'm sooo jealous of u! (oh and catch finding nemo the musical for me!)

I know I can't wait to get to the pool!!! LOL yea I told my mom and she said we're gonna use yur idea and get the characters to sign a card for him...LOL

It's not a waterpark. It's just a fancy pool with sand at the bottom.

in the sand bottom pool by the beach shop where they rent the tubes, there's an area of sinking sand. it's the fillter, but at random points the sand will loosen and u sink down to ur kness. after a few minutes it hardens up and traps u in. it's sooo much fun. people who don't know either stumble upon it or watch a group of giggly kids with no clue why they all just dropped 2 there knees.

The YC is fantastic, one of my favorites , why not see if you can snag a ressie for the Yachtsmen Steakhouse for dinner on Father's Day in anycase He will be having a great day just staying at YC !

its a very pretty resort its really really nice around christmas time the slide is awsome and the sinking sand is over by one of the bridges if i remember right i know that helps right lol i hope you have a blast

I've stayed at the Yacht Club more than any other resort haha, probably around 6 or 7 times.
It's gorgeous! It's a quick walk (or boat) to EPCOT and the Boardwalk (delicious chocolates!). You can also walk or take a boat to Disney Studios as well.
We usually stay concierge level, so that's always really nice
The water view rooms are awesome
It has a great location!
The pool (like everyone said) it amazing!
Sandy bottom, secret bubblers, eddies, slides all around awesome!
Look for Captain Bob (the greeter) he's awesome
The rooms are so big and really nicely decorated.
All in all a wonderful resort!

The Yacht Club is amazing, it's the only Disney Resort I've stayed in and only once for two nights for New Year 2009! We had a water view room and it was very peaceful and the balcony was gorgeous as well as the room .... I stayed in one night as was unwell and got a great view of Epoct's Illuminations from blcony... It's about 5/10 mins walk from Epcot which is great and the hotel itself is very beautiful and the gift shops are awesome... I went and looked round Beach Club and I think I preferred Yacht but the pool is awesome but didnt go in as never had much time... And's its so cool to get a boat to DHS, takes about 20/30 mins [cant quite remember] and a much more relaxing way then the buses or car journeys

i have stayed i think twice at the yatch club. My family always stays at the beach (which is connected so its basicaly the same thing). i love it there!! eveyrone is so nice && the pool has to be one of the best parts along with going to beaches & cream to have dinner or ice cream! and its nice to be a walk away from the countries in EPCOT and to be able to take a boat to the Hollywood Studios. The locations i love and just everything about it!!
