We got our DVC papers last week so I guess I can can quit lurking about and say hello! We are so very excited to be members of DVC and I love this board! You all helped with many questions I had even though you didn't know it.

We took a 21 day visit to Florida last Dec, did a bit of everything (onsite, offsite vacation home, Universal) to get a feel for what kind of vacation we wanted. Decided onsite at Disney is our idea of vacation heaven and here we are..new members!

We bought at SSR and only 150 to start. We are going to work with that amount for a couple years and then add on. I told DH "no diamonds...just DVC" forever.

Sure would love to try OKW some day

150 is a good starting point. I think it takes awhile for us to know how many points are the right amount for each. We started with 230 and figured out after the first year that we needed more, so we bought another 150. We found we wanted to only stay in 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms and we LOVE taking people with us! Makes our annual vacations much more fun. The flexibility of DVC is what drew us to it. This year we are taking 3 trips total. One week last January, one in October, and 10 days in December.
