Hi all

Just moved over from US boards. Visiting WDW Oct 07 with my 23 year old daughter first time away without my husband so bit apprehensive so I will be asking Loads of questions lol.

Been to DLRP 6 times so thought it was about time to do the big one. So to statr the ball rolling DDP is it worth it and should I be thinking about a particular character breakfast ?

i loved the ddp but we do love our food so for us its worth every penny especially when its free
we also ate in places we otherwise wouldnt have tried. chef mickeys is well worth a visit and if you have a little girl then one of the princess meals

Hi Viv! I'm travelling to WDW in Oct 07 with my 23 year old DD (tho' she will be 24 by then)! This will be our 2nd Girls Only trip and our first one in May 05 was fantastic. I was nervous about travelling without my DH but everything went v smoothly so I'm sure you'll be fine. Where are you thinking of staying?

We have booked the DDP as we intend to visit the Food & Wine Festival at Epcot and thought it made sense - plus helps my DD budget as this trip she is paying her own way. We're also looking forward to taking in MNSSHP while we are there.

And then there's the shopping...
You ladies are going to love it!

I'm going to be staying at PO french Quarter is that a good choice ? Flying First Choice from Bristol to Sanford but no car so we're getting a coach transfer.

POFQ is really popular on here so I'm sure you've made a great choice. DD and I went to have a sneaky peek at it when we were in WDW last year and thought it looked fab. We're staying at Coronado Springs as Virgin are doing a 3 extra nights free option at that hotel which worked out well for us. We're flying from Gatwick to Orlando and aren't bothering with a car - didn't last time and it worked out fine. Can't wait until that countdown gets below 12 months...

Hello there!
I`ve done two trips to WDW with just DD and me. Both times we`ve had the DDP and both trips have been fab.
We like the character breakfast at Crystal Palace in the magic Kingdom. We like the earliest seating on the first full day of our holiday - it really gets us in to the swing of things.
POFQ is a beautiful resort - I would love to stay there but I can`t get DD away from POR which is just a 10min walk away. You can get the boat down to Downtown Disney which is great for shopping and night life.

I'd opt for 14 as it usually works out to be better value, there's just sooo much to do and it's a long way to go for a week! Last year DD and I booked for 10 nights as we were doing a 3 night Disney cruise as well and 7 nights in WDW seemed a good idea. We were also unsure of how 2 full weeks together would feel and a little concerned about missing our OHs. As it was, we need not have worried as we had such a fab time and hardly gave the men in our lives a second thought!

TBH I wanted to go for 14 this time but DD can't manage that many days off work so we're compromising on 10 again.
