We were in this end block bottom left, one of closest rooms to the I4. You can zoom in further and zoom out to get a feel of the area.

I was planning on asking them for block 4, facing the car park, high up

Apparently, you get decent views of the Spaceship Earth and the fireworks from there.

When my brother was 9, I took him (me in my early 20's then!) to WDW, so know what a GREAT time the pair of you will have!

a great big WELCOME from me, you WILL have a great time, in fact you'll be better prepared than most first timers as you've found the DIS before you go (I think the majority have found it after! ) I'll back up Kaylees suggestion of reading trip reports, they're a great way to see how others have spent their time and there may be a few suggestions you'll want to follow up on, be wary though, of trying to cram in too much and also be aware that when people write 'we decided to give that a miss' it'll be because they've done that thing loads of times before, its worth trying as much as you can.

The DIS is nearly as great as WDW and i'm sure you'll become addicted like the rest of us.

The trip reports give you so many ideas that you might not be able to fit everything in but you can give it a good try.

When you get your convertible be sure to tune your radio to WMMO. This is a great station covering the Orlando area, they play lots of Eagles tracks and other great music.

You can listen to them before you go by logging on to www.wmmo.com and clicking on the 'listen now' link.

What a great combination DIS and WMMO - not quite a good as being there but the best I can manage right now!
