Hello everyone, just joined the board here and can't wait to join in on the fun. A little about me: been a HUGE Disney fan since birth (helps when your family are fans to start you along). Been to Disneyland 4 times so far (1980, 2003, 2012, 2014) and plan on returning in 2016 to attend the Halloween festivities. My wife is a big Disney fan as well and we always enjoy meeting and talking Disney with like-minded people. Really looking forward to talking with all on here and gaining useful tips/hints/ideas and just having fun. Thanks!

Hello! Welcome to this site! I just joined this website, but have been obsessed with Disney for my entire life.
And how you will want to spend your time on this trip will determine where to go and where to stay!
I'm up for making new friends as always!
I, myself, and trying to get out of my comfort zone by signing up for this site and just winging it... starting new convos.

Well, it depends which level of resort you want to stay
My favorites are as follows:
Value - Pop Century!
Moderate - Port Orleans River Side (I really do enjoy this side a tad more than French Quarter!)
Deluxe - Wilderness Lodge!

I'm sure wherever you stay, you are going to have a blast.
If you want to relax and plan on sticking around the hotel, then I would invest in a moderate to deluxe hotel.
If you plan on exploring most of the time, Pop Century should do just fine!

(i write with so many exclamation points because i get so excited.. haha)

Yes..I was looking at Port Orleans French Quarter I stayed at River side before. I can definitely check the French Quarter out.

I have never traveled solo so I am real nervous!

French quarter has such a cute feeling to it.
And I know it must be nerve wrecking.. but think of all the soul searching you can do with a few days off.
I want to do a solo trip.. but I have too many trips that I've already planned.
but I might surprise myself, with maybe a weekend trip.
I just don't know how I would spend my days.
What are your plans?

I actually really do need sole searching so that is what is intriguing me.

My plan is to head down January 31st through February 6th. My birthday is the 3rd so I wanted to do something that I would enjoy.

Then my next solo trip will be I hope to Ireland in the fall of 2016

I have birthday trip planned for me and my younger cousin in May 2016.
And then I have a family cruise planned in Sept 2016.
I was hoping to maybe get a solo weekend trip in the late fall, early winter.
Hoping maybe to do a meet up as well..
But's far fetched.. So i have to think about it.
