Hi, A Newbie and a few Questions!

Hi Community,
Hope it is the right thread to post in the first time with some Questions.
We as a family were in Disneyland Paris 3 Month ago, and we liked it. Btw our Son is 4 years. We bought the Annual Pass cause we wanted to go back there cause it was something for the young man and of course for us.
Just like back to the childhood really I enjoyed it much.
Now we are "planning" a 2 week Trip to WDW next Wednesday. Unfortunately I found your Forums yesterday and not along time before so I would have so many Questions and so less time.

I read a lot in the Forum the last Night but still a lot of Information needed.

1.Ok we think we will stay at the Hilton Downtown for 2 weeks.Is it a good Location to stay at with a Kid?

2.We will not rent a Car so is it easy to come to all the Parks and Attractions with the Shuttle Buses?And as it is one of the Hotels from Disney itself , how do I get the Pickup Service from the Airport?

3.What is that Mug thing a lot of people talking about and how does it work?

4.Any Tips are welcome.

I had so many Questions in my mind but when I started writing I have forgotten them all.Maybe I am just too excited to go there and see the REAL WD.

I'll help with what I can.

We've always stayed on property, so I can't answer this. I doubt you could get an on property reservation at this point though, so I guess the Hilton is as good as any.

The free pickup (Magical Express) from the airport is only for those staying on Disney property. Maybe the Hilton has a pickup, too. You'd have to call them to find out. There are other options like taxis at the airport, too. You might consider renting a car so that you don't have to use Hilton shuttles to the Disney parks.

3.What is that Mug thing a lot of people talking about and how does it work?

The refillable mugs are about $12 at the Disney resorts and can be used only at that resort and only for that stay. Seems like they may have this at the parks, but I can't remember. Someone else will have to fill you in on that.

4.Any Tips are welcome.

Everyone will have different ideas around here, but my tips are . . .
1 - get up early and be to the parks on time.
2 - rest in the afternoon so that you won't get too exhausted to enjoy the end of your trip.
3 - sunscreen and water are musts.
4 - know that you won't be able to see everything in one vacation. Don't worry though, because what you see will be fantastic.
