Okay, so check this out. Believe it or not, I have tried exactly that same thing like 4 times figuring that was the only thing that it could be!!

I am starting to wonder if there is a bit of a delay when a puzzle becomes highlighted and you can go in to solve it??? Frustrating anyways....Thanks. I am off to give it another whirl...

Now, another question, another topic if you will...Why was Michael Myers not a HHN invite? Would he not be qualified to be another one of the killers in that league? It has nothing to do with John Carpenter since The Thing is going to be a part of the event. But, again, why not good old Mikey? That would've been cool, too.

What is with the talk of The Rocky Horror Show having some kind of appearance at HHN?

It's rumored to be a revue show in the Beetlejuice theater.

Yeah, we were there in 2004 as well. It was very good! I remember the house also. Okay, so there is another one figured out.

Now, another thing I would like to throw out there, but please, keep the hints and other info coming in.

What is with the talk of The Rocky Horror Show having some kind of appearance at HHN? Unless I have missed something in recent times and if Universal has partnered with 20th Century Fox, how can this be? Unless, they managed some kind of a deal together. But, then again, as far as I last knew, 20th Century only had the rights to The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and the creator still owned the rights to the original Rocky Horror Show? Anyone have any input towards this one?

Universal does show RHPS at the Cineplex every weekend at midnight IIRC

Well, unless in the past so many years New Line took on F13th, that was a Paramount distribution I believe... I don't know, his being there still would have been cool. My younger brother is a big Halloween (film) fan and is a great Myers size. One Halloween he had the mask and bummed a mechanics suit from a buddy. He donned a pair of workboots and lay in the front yard and I covered him with leaves. The eerie sounds were playing and the lights just right. The kids came up the driveway skipping and happy, and got their treats. Little bro Mikey rose out of his leafy grave, and those kiddies bolted it, dragging their parents behind them!! And these were 3 year olds dragging them!!! Ha! Sorry to sound evil, but it WAS hilairious!! Funny, they were no longer happy.....

As far as the RHPS, and cinema can play it, and so many do nation and world wide Fri and Sat nites. But, if they are doing something different, I am just curious to what they are in fact to do. Anyone know? Rumors? Keep it coming....Have a nice weekend all!!

New Line bought the Friday the 13th rights after Part 8 (that's why Paramount's DVD box set only included 1-8)

It looks like there is going to be a RHPS live show as Universal was advertising for performers for it about a month ago...beyond that no clue as to the where, when, or even if it'll be seasonal or permanent .

This year, Halloween Horror Nights 17 transforms into the most extreme, fear-filled event in its history with “Carnival of Carnage.” With its leading cast of modern day horror icons, guests will come face-to-face with New Line Cinema’s Freddy Krueger, Jason and Leatherface for the first time ever – and they will find the fear so real they will wish it were just a movie.

EIGHT HAUNTED HOUSES

A Nightmare on Elm Street: Dreamwalkers – Stepping through the door of 1428 Elm Street, this suburban residence will bring guests face-to-face with the nightmare man himself, Freddy Krueger. Trapped in a walking dream state, guests will join Freddy’s victims as they relive their most vicious nightmares.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Flesh Wounds – Guests find themselves trapped inside the Hewitt family home. Terror awaits them at every corner as they realize they are hunted by chainsaw- wielding maniac Leatherface, and his family of freaks.

Friday the 13th: Camp Blood – Visitors take a tour of the abandoned remains of Camp Crystal Lake – the slay grounds of Jason Voorhees. There has not been an incident here for years, and Jason has seemingly disappeared. However, under the bright moon there seems to be something moving in the woods...

The Thing: Assimilation – This house celebrates the 25th Anniversary of John Carpenter’s horror/sci-fi classic with a sequel set 25 years after the incident at Outpost 31. Guests enter Outpost 3113, a research hub housing the government’s most classified projects. When a containment unit containing bio-hazardous evidence from Outpost 31 unexpectedly opens, someThing is let loose.

Dead Silence: The Curse of Mary Shaw – Based on the Universal horror film, the theatre space of the vengeful Mary Shaw is brought to life. The tortured ghost of the evil ventriloquist searches for fresh victims to create the perfect doll while an army of sinister puppets terrify guests.

Psychoscareapy: Home for the Holidays – Visions of sugarplums turn into horrific holiday nightmares for citizens living in Shadybrook Estates when a transport bus containing the most crazed residents of the now infamous local hospital overturns near their beloved neighborhood. Clawing their way out of the twisted wreckage, these crazed overachievers have come home for the holidays and their victims will hopefully be given the greatest gift of all…a quick death.

Vampyr: Blood Bath – In the dead of night, creatures of the netherworld gather at Club Vampyr. Located inside an abandoned industrial building, Club Vampyr has everything one would need to paint the town red, blood red, that is.

Jack’s Funhouse in Clown-O-Vision – Guests enter this Jack’d up funhouse that throws them laughing and screaming into an oversaturated world of color that appears to leap out at them. I got express tickets for the 28th, I had to get one because last year I went on a saturday night and I only got to see one house and only got on the mummi ride and that it and we we got there at 6 and left at 1am. What a waste of money so this year I said I had to get an express ticket and also go on a sunday night rather then on saturday. Is Sunday a busy day?

The longer the event goes on, the busier it gets. Its not going to be as busy the first week in October as say the last week in October.

Hey, we are going on Sat. Oct. 13th and we got the express passes also. It is pricy, but hey, you don't do this sort of thing every day now, do you? The EP is so worth it, because it can get really busy.

Since you're going on a Saturday, I would definately recommend the EP. I know it's expensive but if you're only going one night you'll want to see everything.

last year was the first year i have experienced a sunday hhn to be crowded.
i went the 3 day weekend of columbus day.

a couple of reasons it was crowded:
many off work on the next day, monday columbus day.
many bought the frequent fear pass which allows entry to hhn on each non peak night. sunday is a non peak night.

saturday hhn is open to 2 am
sunday it closes at midnight.

with all considerations, you are better off going on the sunday.
the next day is not a legal holiday for you which will eliminate some crowds.
you made the right choice.
use the stay and scream area for a head start on the houses.
you don't want to be waiting in the line outside the gate and have to go thru the metal detectors.

use the ep when the lines are at 20 minutes wait.
you can do at least 3 houses before you have to use the express pass if you start in the stay and scream area.
