HHN Ticket questions?confused

I plan on buying a one day park pass to one of US parks. I also want to buy a night pass for that one night to HHN. What is the difference between Halloween Horror Nights® 14 General Admission ($54.75) and Halloween Horror Nights® 14 Stay and Scream Ticket (30.75)?

You would want to get the Stay and Scream ticket. Both ticket types are admission to HHN however with stay and scream it's basically an upgrade to your (day) ticket. You get to stay in the park when it's time to close (generally the holding areas are restraunts) and you are first there when the houses and such open. The regular admission price would be if you did not go to the parks that day and only came for HHN.

I posted another thread about stay and scream but didn't get an answer - do you have to be in the park at closing to use the stay and scream pass, or can we leave the park around 5ish and then come back when HHN officially starts?

Hard to imagine they'd not let you leave but I would call and ask, and then call again closer to the date you are going. Sometimes you get more than one answer!

Maybe someone that has done stay and scream before will know (we have AP's and always leave mid-day)

You want to be in the park half an hour before they close the gates to the public (usually around 05:00pm).
I've visited IOA in the morning, gone to my hotel, took a nap, then came back, but I did it half an hour before the gates closed. If you don't get back into the park before they close the gates, you'll be stuck waiting. I'm sure you'll get in, but you'll have to wait with the crowds.
As you exit the park in the afternoon, get your hand stamped and hold on to your ticket. That will get you back into the park before they close the gates. Then you can walk to the stay and scream area and get a head start on the crowd.
