I have been to HHN several times before, but never on the first few weekends. I am really thinking I am going to go the second Friday this year. For one, I am off of work on a 4 day weekend (Th-Sun) and 2nd it is much cheaper, $36.99 for annual passholders (same as weekday price). So.. my question is.. how are the first few nights? Do they get crowded like later in to the event, are all the houses open?

I usually go on a Sunday or Thursday night.. and get there for the AP holding area. With that, I usually get all the houses done by parks closing... I have never done a weekend night due to the crowds. I refuse to spend the extra money for the express pass.. sorry guys, I am cheap... ... tia

I always go opening night and it does get busy. Not as busy as later in the month but you're looking at 60 minutes lines by 9pm. You should try to come that weekend...the tickets are really cheap and since you'll do S & S, you can get a jump on the general admission people.

I am thinking of doing the second Friday.. Sept 30th.. and doing S&S. I figured it is open till 2am.. I should get all the houses in...:goodvibes

Even if it's only open until midnight, it'll be EASY to hit all the houses. Don't follow the S&S crowd to the first soundstage house or two, head towards the back of the park (ET) and work your way around to the front. Skip the first Bill & Ted show. You should be able to do 6 houses before 9pm if your timing is great. :)

I think I tried doing this a few years back and couldn't get through the AP Holders chordoned off area until 6:30 ( I think it was right by the Animal Actors show)... I did do the soundstages houses first but only two of them and headed to the two houses by the AP area. I think It was Chucky last year, Spawning few years back, etc...

Do the people in the AP holding area get into the houses at the same time as the S&S people?

I'm not aware of any AP holding area and a S & S area unless you're talking about the passholder area during the parties. That's only the first two weekends.

Yes I meant the passholder area during the parties. Are they 'released' at the same time as the S&S people?

I believe so but I wasn't really paying attention the year I attended.
