Historically, when do these events sell out, of they do?

I am conflicted about which night to go to. Either Weds Oct 29th or Thurs Oct. 30th. I had planned on going on the Thursday, but since they announced Weds, I think it may be less crowded. We had originally planned to do Epcot on Weds but now may do that on Thurs. I just wonder if it would be worse to do Epcot on a Thursday for Food & Wine.

Plus, I am an NBC Universal employee and sometimes we get discounts for HHN, but they don't offer it to us until pretty late in the game. I'd hate to risk waiting too long and finding out it is sold out since that's the whole reason my DH wants to make this trip.

So between waffling about which day to go and waiting for a possible discount, do I have anything to worry about on those dates selling out?

the last few years, halloween night, oct 31 was not bad.

i think more of the locals took in other events with their families than go to hhn.

i have heard of the ex pass being sold out but not many nights of hhn selling out.
i'm sure it happens but many times the tickets are over sold even when the park is quite full.

that happened to me on 2 occasions in the past 7 years. granted, not enough times to make an issue out of it but it has happened in past years.

i would worry more about the ex pass being sold out than the hhn tix.

I am hoping to go on the 30th as we'll be in town and its my 40th birthday!

Going on memory here, but I only recall Fridays and Saturdays selling out. Only weekdays that might have would have been during "hell week," when local schools are out. So unless local schools are out that last week in October this year, I think either of your dates would be fine.

Express Pass sells out far more, something to keep in mind.

I went November 1 last year and it was pretty busy...you'd never know Halloween had just past. Talking to one of the TM's that night, she told me Halloween night isn't that bad...this year however, since it's on a Friday, it should slammed! :faint:

i would agree with you on the november dates metro.

many people like to get the last night in before it all goes away until 2009.
if UO would give a perk to the FFP holders and open that last night up, it will be packed.

We went on Halloween in 2006 which was on a Tuesday and it wasn't that bad. We had express passes though.

I guess my concern is not really if the night we want to go is selling out, but when it would sell out. Do we cave and buy the tickets or wait for the discount. I think the discount was offered a month in advance.

I plan on buying express passes though, probably as soon as I confirm which date we are going. Just have to see if I can move a dining reservation. But it would stink if we had the express passes and waited for a discount and the tickets sold out. But I really think we should be safe on the Weds.

Well, never mind, DH doesn't want to risk it since this is why we are going to Orlando. So I'll just get the tickets so he can relax :)
