HHN question

I am planning a trip to Orlando for Halloween weekend. What I am planning is to go to Universal one day mainly for the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and then another day/night (Halloween night) at MNSSHP. My question is how early do they shut the Universal park down to reopen for HHN? We plan on going to IOA on Sat. Oct. 30. I just want to make sure we'll be able to get almost a full day in the park before HHN starts. Thanks for any input.

By all accounts, HHN will be at the Studios again this year, so IoA will be open a full day (which is still only 6 or 7 in October, unless the new land forces them to change their schedule).

The Studios usually closes at 5pm on HHN nights but IOA is open later. I would strongly recommend Stay & Scream so you can enter HHN before the general public but you would have to be in the park before it closes. There is a S & S area at IOA in Seuss Landing so you might want to ask someone what time you can make your way over. Since you're going on a Saturday late in the month, the crowds for HHN will be huge!

I guess I wasn't clear enough in my original post. We DO NOT plan to attend HHNs. We are planning to be in IOA during regular park hours on Sat. Oct. 30. I have no idea how HHNs works and I just wanted to make sure we'd still have a full day at IOA. Can anyone tell me what the regular park hours typically are for this time of year? And will those hours be cut short to accomodate HHNs? Thanks again.

Ah OK...yeah...it was confusing.

The normal park hours for October are 9-6 or 9-7 for both parks except when HHN is staged then the Studios will close at 5pm. IOA won't be affected by HHN so you will be able to enjoy the whole day at IOA.
