I will be going to US on Oct. 20 and we plan on getting a Scream & Stay.

How busy will US be during the day? I am going with my father, brother and sisters. We range in age from 38 to 60. My mother passed away in February and a cousin gave us this trip as a gift. What would be the best plan of attack for us.

What time and where do you suggest us to eat?

We are completely naive to this whole HHN, but are willing to try anything. Will it be completely packed on Thursday, and where should we wait until the park opens for the HHN?

Any suggestions anyone has would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It is not expected to be busy on Oct. 20th. Just make sure you are inside IOA before the park closes at 5:00 PM. The Stay and scream area is in Marvel near Captain America Diner. I would grab a bite to eat in the Stay and Scream area. After eating, there will probably be a couple of houses open before the crowds come in at 6:30-7:00.

Hey phamton,
You or someone else might have already answered this for me, but I'm suffering from short term memory loss (I'm an elementary school teacher). I went to the HHN website and into the annual pass section. In regards to the "Preferred Passholder Party Zone" it stated the following:

Exclusive “Party Zone” in the Boneyard area at Universal Studios from 4:00pm – 6:30pm
(Universal Studios park access with your Preferred Annual Pass and HHN ticket)

Now, my wife and I do have the preferred annual pass, but my nephew does not. Will he be allowed to stay with us or does he have to have the AP? Of course, he will have the HHN pass, just not the AP. Another question, we will attend HHN's on Sunday (10-30) and Monady (10-31). Which of the 2 days do you think will be more crowded? Thanks!!!

From what I understand only those who hold valid preferred annual passes will be able to go to the party. I guess you can ask when you are there. I know when they have had parties for PAP holders during Mardi gras they only let you end when you show your PAP. Just an FYI, though, if you aren't staying for the party in the holding area for AP holders, all USF guest who have valid HHN passes can exit to Seuss through a pathway via the Boneyard and through the Soundstage Areas.

Both the 30th and 31st are both non-peak nights. I would just guess that the 30th might be less crowded than the 31st. Normally when Halloween falls on a weekday, it isn't very crowded at HHN but I would still think that the Sunday might be less crowded than Halloween night.
