SO I need to get my DH & DS HHN tickets.

We got the 7 day $86 regular tickets on-line last year & will be using them for the 5 of us during the day.

My questions:

How do I hook the stay & scream onto tickets I previously bought?

The Express Pass?

Am I correct that to attend on 10/12 & 10/16 I would need to buy:

1. Frequent Fear Pass. $69.99

or

Stay & Scream for $29.99 for each night

and

2. Express fror $39.99 (or if lucky can find someone with room for RIP tour)

AND Final question...

Do the Stay & Scream or Express Passes sell out far in advance?

If attending on Sunday 10/12 (day before Columbus Holiday) with the Express Pass, would they be able to see most things?

call universal tickets and give them the confirmation number of your 7 day passes you bought on line.
you are eligible to buy the s & s tickets as an "add on".
do this by phone. the S & S tickets are your HHN tickets.

The Express Pass?

no discounts for express passes.
you can buy them online now. i would advise you to buy them as you lessen the wait time in line for the houses as the evening crowds grow.

i will list options here in case others need the info.

if you are going to attend more 2 or more non peak nights, buy the FFP.
they are selling for $69.99 a pass. that is if you don't have any discounts you are entitled to such as AP .

if you have the universal ap, you can buy them/FFP for $54.99 a pass.
ap holders get a discount and can buy up to 6 hhn tickets only.

you are better off buying the stay and scream add ons...

or

Stay & Scream for $29.99 for each night

this is your best choice by far for HHN tix

and

2. Express fror $39.99 (or if lucky can find someone with room for RIP tour)

the 12th has the ep for $39.99 and the 16th has the price of $69.99 for the express passes.

when the RIP tour info is published, you can sign up for that.
prices are unknown at this point.
lasat year they were $125 for a non peak night and i think $140 for a peak night plus your HHN hard ticket.

if you do the RIP tour, all you need to do is pay for the tour cost and have a park ticket for HHN. you do not need to buy the express that night you are on a tour.

many just sign up for the date they want for the RIP tour. tours are for 12 people maximum. not all tours have 12 friends in them.
last year i took the tour and knew some of the people but not all of them.

it depends on the date you are going.
I have not seen it sell out far in advance for the time period you are going.

they can sell out on the day before or that date, but not far in advance.
others may have a different opinion on that.

i have attended the last 4 years on the sunday before columbus day and would not do the park without it. i like to do repeats on the houses to see Team A and Team B in action.
since it is a non peak night, people with the FFP do attend.
some people have the monday off work as a holiday and that would add to the crowds in the park.
yes, with the ep, you will be able to see everything on that sunday if you start with the s & s area.
just my opinion, others may disagree.

i do the rides in the daytime and the houses/ scare zones/ bill and teds at night during hhn. if you are not into the houses, then you should be able to do everything at your pace without doing the s & s.

i'll be there for that 4 day weekend again this fall.
i already bought my ep for the time period.
and even for sunday....

Well, i finally got me S & S add on.

I bought the 7 day tickets in April 2007 & did print at home. Trying to get the S & S add on was a nightmare. The Rep was really nice, but it took nearly an hour!

Somehow, I went from the $86 7 day rate to the $79 rate, received credit & then the S&S was put on. I was told now my print at home tickets won't work & just take the confirm # to the pick up window when we get there.

It was all so confusing, I asked for an e-mail confirm & they can only e-mail out manually on a funky e-amil address...

But, now we got it all & I bought Express!

glad it worked out for you.

are you using the child care at the hotel for the kids while you and dh do hhn?

do you need any info on that set up?

came back to say i see you are taking 12 year old son.
do you need info on your dd for child care that night?

or is she going with also?

Out of the 5 of us, only DH & DS (12) are going to HHN.

Me & the younger 2 will skip it.

Thanks for the offer for child care info!

Please tell me that your 12-year can handle intense scary? As in people chasing him with chain saws and scaring him as he walks down the street?

The HHN event is marked PG-13 all over the place for a reason.

You've been warned.

You are now not allowed to come back here to say HHN never again. They came after my kid. I complained to guest services.

May seem crass but TB. I've seen the complaints at guest services from some irresponsible parent who ignored all the PG-13 ratings. Also read the complaints here. HHN is not MNSSHP.

Thanks for the Warning!

I think he'll be fine. We've done some research over the last year & he knows what to expect (or at least thinks he does)

Besides -- He has to reimburse DH if he gets too scared. :scared1: And he is cheap, so he'd never admit being too scared.

It is not his first "haunted" experience, although I expcect it will be more intense then he is used to just because of the number of houses.

He is not a typical 12 year old. Now, my 8 year old could be 18 and I wouldn't approve of him going -- very different personalties.
